I bought a used Passat and I was nervous taking it for service because I don't know much about cars. Gene and Keith were great. They gave me detailed info and weren't impatient with me. I am confident in their work and I haven't taken my car elsewhere since finding them! Highly recommended.
This place is GREAT! I brought them a fuel leak on a '69 VW Beetle and they fixed it fast! The repair was done right, and at a reasonable price. They tweaked a couple of other things for me too, and the car is running WAY better than it was when I brought it to them. It's hard to find skilled mechanics that can fix these older beetles, but these guys knew this car iside and out! I'll be back to Anton's for all of my repairs!
I brought my Volvo V70 in for a bad electrical issue. The problem appeared intermittently: the BRAKE, ABS, SERVICE, CHECK ENGINE, oil, and traction control dash lights would turn on, as well as the message "BRAKE FAILURE/STOP SAFELY ASAP". The brakes and accelerator were extremely unresponsive, and the car would have trouble starting. I trusted Anton's to handle the issue. Big mistake. They identified a score of items required to fix my car: spark plugs, battery, oxygen sensor, water pump, motor mount, timing kit, and several other $12 or-less parts I think they just threw in for kicks. They quoted the repairs at around $1300, but the total came to $1875 when it was time to pick it up. Two days after driving it off the lot the exact same issue came back. They offered me a free tow back to their shop, and the manager assured he would "help me out" since i had just blown two grand for nothing. "Helping me out" came to another $990 repair to replace the abs module. Once again, two days later the problem occurred again. They didn't fix anything, and charged three grand for it. This is the worst experience with an auto mechanic in my entire life. Do not go to Anton's; they are criminals. My only regret in writing this review is that Google made "Poor - Fair" the lowest quality rating. I think "Terrible" or "Absolute Worst" would be more appropriate. I cannot stress this enough: DO NOT go to Anton's. Once again: DO NOT go to Anton's. One more time: DO NOT go to Anton's.
Brought them my Audi TT. Had several maintenance items done and they fixed a part that I didn't think could be fixed. All at a reasonable price. It's running like it's brand new and it's a 2003! Feel lucky they work on American models too. Very pleased with work done on my daughter's Hummer.
After an over 900 mile trip from Los Angeles, my tires began to lose pressure. The Giant gas station from across the street pumped far too little air and actually lowered the pressure of my tires. Fortunately, Anton's Auto Haus helped me pump air to my tires. The service was very friendly and I'm to have found them!
Brought my 87' Vanagon here while having issues on a cross country trip with the family. Gene saw me right away, diagnosed the issue and within a hour or so we were on our way. Very nice and knowledgeable mechanics here. Really appreciated the service I received here and would recommend to any VW owners out there.
Hey Vdubbers, if you live in Albuquerque or passing through and need repairs, Gene and Keith have got you covered. My wife and I were doing Route 66 in our 65 bus when the clutch cable went out as we pulled into town on a weekend. Googled repair shops and took a chance on Anton's first thing Monday morn. Glad we did. Got CarmenTina repaired in no time we were back on the road. Very accommodating and the cost was reasonable.
Stay away. Old man is a rip off. I went get my catalytic converter replaced because it was rattling he said it's probably something wrong inside my engine lol. I left because this place likes to rip people off. Just from talking to him for two minutes I could tell he takes advantage of people who do not know much about their vehicles. Good thing I know what I'm talking about.
The previous review was false due to the fact that he brought his own parts for us to install. He stated AutoZone told him this is what's wrong with his car. We were just merely trying to inform him there was something else that caused the part to go bad in the first place. He was upset that we wouldn't install his parts.
Very helpful! Gene had me in and out in no time. I had an issue arise with my vehicle while passing through. Highly recommend!
