Apple Castle

I love this type of store. Local small business doing a great job. I enjoy the custom products they offer. There garlic parsley pasta was really good!

Open year around, this family owned store stocks a nice variety of Apples. They make their own donuts every morning... The honey wheat donut is my favorite! They also have cider, cheese, jams, jellies, honey, gift items, and some local Amish baked goods. In season, they carry other fresh produce, much of which is grown on their own produce farm. Their peaches are delicious! Their produce entries at the county Fair win lots of blue ribbon every year! They also ship apples for a tasty gift idea. They offer fun teaching events for kids throughout the growing season. Their annual Fall Harvest Festival, in October, draws thousands of people enjoying the fall produce, live music, kids activities, food, and crafters creations. The staff is friendly and helpful. Not sure which apple you want? Ask! They will help guide you to the right variety. Stop in. Once you've shopped there, you will be back!

Friendly knowledgeable staff. If you don't know if you need a Macintosh or Granny Smith or whatever just let them know what you plan to use the apples for and they can help you select the best kind. They have an ample selection of apples and other various veg.

Easy parking and re-entry to PA 18. Plenty of room. People working there are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. All sorts of Apple products available. As well, fresh produce in season, honey from on-premises hives, maple syrup, products from the local Amish community, ice cream, and my wife's favorite donuts. And more.
