Mt Pleasant Glass & Ethnic Festival

One of the best festivals to bring the family. Food for everyone's taste and has the best entertainment.

I went to the Christmas Parade. Didn't feel safe along side of road as there were large tractor trailers getting through when roads were supposed to be blocked. So sitting on edge of road with toddlers I felt uneasy until the parade started.

Oh my, where to start........this festival was once a great time. In recent years I've noticed some things I cannot stand. As a resident of Mt. Pleasant I don't mind strangers arriving from wherever to indulge in some innocent fun. However, I've seen car wrecks because people do not pay attention when looking for parking. Visitors do not respect the no parking signs and get into verbal arguments with residents who "save" their parking spots in front of their homes. We live here! Our homes, community, and yes, our parking. If outsiders aren't happy, please take the shuttle available to you at Walmart. Some of these folks are downright scary!! The entertainment is average. There really isn't much for kids, but that's ok because Mt. Pleasant has plenty enough parks for the children. Anyway, the festival is like any county fair on a much smaller scale. It used to be 5☆'s, but it's going down hill fast. 👎

Nice festival, but the parking is terrible. Parade is nice, but there is to much space in between the participants, therefore the parade takes very long and drug out.

This year my grandaughter Haylee Tarasky was crowned Young Miss Glass Ethnic Queen!!
