My friend and I found this place on a whim wanting to smoke hookah after dinner. We walked in and immediately knew this was going to be our new hookah spot. Decent service, GREAT sheesha, and the twerking music stays blasting till the early morning. Come in with low expectations and you'll have a blast.
Whoever the security guard is on 12/21/22 is rude and very disrespectful to woman !!! The lady upstairs was rude!! It’s not what is used to be and change your ginger ale on the gun it’s MAD Flat ‼
Don’t go to this place unless you want to spend an absurd amount of money on Hookah, alcohol, and poor customer service. They have a sign in the entrance that displays the happy hour time and the promotions. It clearly said on the sign $5 rail drinks, $6 Hennessy drinks, $14.99 Hookah, etc until 9 pm. Once you get inside way before 9pm the server says the hookah was 50 bucks and drinks were $12 . I asked to speak to the manager/ owner to let him know that it is false advertisement, he became rude and dismissive. He turned the sign around and said $50 and that’s final. What a terrible way to treat potential paying customers. I will never go back there.
False advertising on their website and flyers--they don't open at 5:30 like their website and FB claim. They actually open at 6PM for happy hour, and they didn't truly open until like 6:35pm because the employees are eating food and goofing off at a carryout spot that they also own 2 doors down. Other than that it's fine. Cheaper, longer happy hr than most hookah places on U St. Hookah is fine. DJ is the best part of this place on Fridays and Saturdays. Nice mix of music. Service is garbage after like 8pm so be prepared. They charge a cover after 9pm on fri/sat night bring $10 just in case and actually ASK security if there is seating upstairs before you commit to paying, cram you in between people, and seating ain't guaranteed either. Overall, its doable. Not the worst. Not the best.
This bar was dry, i came and and everyone in the bar was asleep. My friends and I tried to liven up the party and it didn't work. The servers were really rude. And didn't understand business protocol. If it is an absolute last result I would recommend but not even if it is a past result.
This lounge is a great place to hangout with friends! The hookah service is great and the food & drinks are pretty nice too. It's very laid back with mood lighting and mounted tv's. The music was a great mix of 90's R&B/Hip-Hop to present day.
Avoid at all costs. We have more than enough hookah locations in DC that will treat you better than this place. It's small, they charge you a $10 cover and then it takes 45 minutes to get service, if not longer. One girl and her friends said she waited over an hour. I've never paid a cover anywhere else. One positive -- the DJ. He plays a mixture of the latest in R&B and Hip-Hop, but blends in some 90's and 2000's.
I have been here a handful of times. The experience inside is fine but the last time I went, my girlfriend and I arrived to the door a minute before 9pm in order to get in free. Unfortunately, I had to throw away a water bottle before entering and the nearest trash can was at the corner. As I came back, I saw a man had joined the doorman - I can safely assume he was the manager or maybe even the owner. He refused to acknowledge our timely arrival and would not let us in without paying a $20 cover. My friend was celebrating her birthday inside and we were all planning to pay for drinks, hookah etc. BAD BUSINESS.
Nice music, good hookah, and wings. The guy bartender was really nice. However, the female waitresses are RUDE! Recently Apple is doing this bottle service only seating...Really! Let the patrons who are there sit and enjoy hookah versus having them stand at the bar. Are they trying to become a night club on U street????
My husband and I went on a Monday night, very chill low-key. The drinks were over priced and watered down, the hostess/server was rude and barely wanted to serve us. The charged gratuity without is notifying of the charge, the hookah gave a quick buzz but died down afterwards. It was a waste of $80 for two people two drinks and the hookah.
