Applewood Vietnamese restaurants

I love this place! I've been here a handful of times, maybe a bit more often than I'd care to admit. I have yet to be disappointed. The food is always phenomenal and fresh. Service is always fast and super friendly; 15m or less for pickup.

Won't come back. Pho is so terrible in Denver area this is one of the only acceptable places in town. However I'm sitting here with my kids for about 10 minutes, someone else comes in to order to go, and instead of taking my order (we were ready to order in 30 seconds), she goes to the to go customers, takes their order then leaves. She comes back and the to go customers ask for something else so she takes their order again and once again leaves. She does it a THIRD time and I finally had to walk to the back and grab her so I could order. There is almost NO ONE in the restaurant, so she's not busy. The food is not good enough to justify comically bad service.

The rice noodle bowls are the best! Top one with chicken or a crispy eggroll, layers of noodle, cucumber, topped with peanuts and a tangy sauce, too much for one sitting so you'll always have keftoleft!

The first couple of times coming here there were no issues. But then to our horror, last time cockroaches (yes, plural) ran up the wall and the owner? smashed one with his hand while the another ran off. He tried to convince us that a nearby salon was to blame, but we just didn't buy it. Didn't even offer to comp the meal. Will NOT be back again.

A hidden jem for great pho and fried rice in Golden, CO. I've been here a few times in the past few months and the food has impressed me every time.
