A great trip to Peru while I was in Queens! All the appetizers were incredible! My arepa was awesome. Super delicious, healthy and filling. Cool feel and outside seatingFood: 5/5
Been coming here for the past ten years and I have no notes except everything is amazing. Arepa pabellon is very delicious, as well as the plantain sandwich. Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu! Even the fish/seafood arepas and the reina/cold chicken salad arepas were really great Hope places like this lasts for a lifetime!Food: 5/5
4.5* - This was the first time I’ve had authentic to what I think Venezuelan cuisine, and it didn’t disappoint! We ordered the yucca fries, Pabellon Criolo, 2 arepas, and the soup of a day. Obviously, way too much food for 2. I thought the yucca fries & the creamy cilantro avocado salsa/sauce was delicious. The pabellon criolo, which is the Venezuelan National Dish, was delicious. Stewed pork, rice, beans, and 3 slices of plantains. Very, very, very good!!! The two arepas we ordered were very delicious as well. They put a lot of filling in them, so they’re a whole meal in one. Arepas are also gluten free. Soup was alright. Not the star. Order the Venezuelan National dish, one arepa, and maybe an appetizer… you’ll be stuffed with great food. Dietary restrictions: Good for gluten free.
The best Venezuelan restaurant in Queens, NY. The cachapa with ham and cheese is the traditional and my top 1 on the menu. They offer a variety of arepas, tons of fillings and flavors. They also have main traditional dishes like pabellón criollo highly recommended and much more! Family friendly place.Food: 5/5
Large group of us ate here. Amazing service and the food was delicious. The space is a bit small, but it is queens. I had the pulled pork arepa and it was delicious.Food: 5/5
This is THE place to get arepas. I have searched near and far for arepas that come close but nothing has yet since the discovery of this gem 5 yrs ago. Absolute favorite arepa is the pollo mechado drenched in green sauce and spicy sauce. Fave meal is the pabellon Camarones. I love this place!
Staff was friendly and accommodating. Food was delicious. Great portions and a diverse selection on the menu. Will return.Food: 5/5
I always end up here with my family. The kids love their green sauce called guasacaca and make us come here just for a taste of it! They also love the bubble gum soda from Venezuela. I like the cachapa arepa made out of sweet corn with Ricardo’s tuna fish and avocado. Sounds weird but it’s tasty. The other popular choices in my group are pabellón and domino. The appetizer platter disappears as soon as it’s placed on the table. I’m also a fan of the pineapple hot sauce. The white and red sangria’s are also pleasant.
Hands down, the best Arepas that you’ll find in NYC. This place might be a little far from the city but well worth the commute. They have over 20 Arepas options as well as a bunch of other meals you can choose from. The chichas, which is a sweet drink, is so good and made me want to order another. Can’t wait to come back soon!
I have been here many times in the past few years and always enjoy the food here. The quality in service and food is exceptional. However this last time was disappointing as they must have been running out of the "cold chicken salad" used in the "Reina" arepa cause they only filled the arepa halfway. These are usually packed with food but came up a little empty today. I'm still giving 4 stars based on prior experiences but hope this was a mistake and doesn't continue to happen. The prices have gone up slightly over the years fine, that's life but hope not to sacrifice food portions for it. My friend got the patacón which was the typical big portion and super tasty.
