What a fun place to visit. Great people who are extremely helpful and great to chat with. Selection of clean healthy plants is amazing. Our dog even felt that it deserved a wink of approval!

Fun shop for plant lovers. Plants with nice information stickers to have a general idea of care when purchasing. Knowledgeable staff and beautiful plants. Bought 4 new babies with a gift card I was given last Christmas. No expiration on that which was lovely since I dont live in Des Moines I'm excited to watch grow and come back to art terrarium again.

The best place to shop for houseplants in Des Moines! Art Terrarium always has an amazing selection & an extremely friendly, knowledgeable team. Their potting bar is perfect, especially if you don’t have space to do so at home. This is one of my go-to spots for finding gifts!

Art Terrarium is one of the top plant stores located in down town Des Moines. All there plants are of high quality. They hold fun classes which bring me enjoyment with the fun activities in them. They also will repot a plant you wish to purchase into a new pot so you do not have to get your hands dirty and so it is correctly done and they send home index cards on caring for your plant you have just purchased. You will find only the best shopping at the Art Terrerium with a experienced helpful staff.

Just brought my huge monstera to get cleaned up and sorted out after 3 years of doing very little. They not only cleaned her up, they gave her a soil refresh and moss poles to climb. AT has never disappointed! Thank you

The owners were great about helping pick out what plant you might be more suited for. They had great advice on the watering schedule for plants. They also had great advice on the type of pots to use for the plants depending on the water needs. I was great to hear that if you have a succulent or cactus they are great at West winds and if you have a tropical plant they are great at east windows. All things I did not know and would not have known if I had not of stopped at the art terrarium. The difference in soil and all the crazy things that make up potting the perfect plant and keeping it alive were amazing. This is a one of a kind experience. They have lots of local art and a large selection of plants and pots to plant then in. This was a great experience. Thank you art terrarium.

Art Terrarium is my favorite place for gifts and treat yo' self moments. They always have a wide variety of inventory, helpful staff, and affordable prices. This shop is the sole reason I'm now a proud plant lady!

Everyone here is incredibly knowledgeable about plants, and there's a great selection. The potting area is phenominal, being able to pot your plant in the container you just bought, and have guidance about doing it right makes you feel so much more confident about not killing it.

Love this little plant shop. I follow them on Instagram and drool over all the beauties. I don’t live in town so I can’t visit in person often, but it’s a must-stop if you’re in Des Moines and you like plants and pleasant people! Even if you only like one of those things it’s still great. Great vibe and helpful, knowledgeable staff.

First time there. Was very warmly greeted! Such an awesome place with so much variety it will blow your mind! The air plants are the most amazing thing I have ever seen, and I have had a "green thumb" my whole life So MANY neat authentic things there, words could not justify! A must-visit if you are into flowers at all, or even for a gift for someone who is!
