I cannot say enough about Chris and her staff! I planned a 90th birthday celebration at Arugula in West Hartford after a thorough exploration of all of our local restaurants. The food and service were outstanding in every way. We had appetizers, salad, a choice of 1 of 4 entrees and dessert. The food, service and ease of planning this party exceeded all of our expectations and the intimacy of the restaurant and attention to detail was amazing and appreciated by the toughest critics - New Yorkers! Thank you for a fabulous day!

this was my second time here. the first time i was pretty disappointed. but it was my wife's 60th birthday and she wanted to give it another try. a sunday night, not too busy... calamari appetizer no seasoning and no flavor. i doused it with lemon and lots of salt and it was ok. wife had the Grilled Halloumi, cheese was so overcooked she didn't eat it. 2 of us had flatbreads, just ho hum, lamb one very bland, artichoke prosciutto one ok but chef thought just putting a clump of prosciutto on each slice was a good idea instead of dispersing it around so you don't get it all in one bite. ordered 1 tea and 2 desserts. after about 15 minutes waiter comes over with one dessert and an empty tea cup and no tea, and then disappears for another 20 minutes. then comes back, after we tried to get his attention the whole time, and says he didn't realize we ordered 2 desserts. waiter never even looked over at our table the whole time while he was walking back and forth through the dining room. last time going there. too many better restaurants in this town.
