Golden Irene

Being within walking distance we decided to give the restaurant a chance. We were there with two children under the age of 5. It took almost 15 minutes to even get drinks nevermind place our order. Once we were able to place our order it took another 10 minutes to let us know that they didn't have what we ordered (a sandwich). At that point we decided to not order anything further. After another 15 or so minutes we got out food... sans silverware, napkins or plates (knowing my children were sharing their plate). Just trying to get out of there we finished up asap. I talked to the hostess on the way out after asking for a manger. I was told I could talk to one of the waitresses. So I told the hostess my concerns and the response I got was " that is not our normal level of service". No attempt to correct the issue or even say they were maybe busier than normal (which they weren't) or even try to get said waitress that may be higher up. Nothing. Needless to say they will not be getting my business again!

Food was delicious! I would recommend this place to anyone. The corn chowder was to die for. I ordered the fettuccini but adding shrimp and chicken is a MUST and totally worth it! Everything was fresh and plenty of food to enjoy. Great bang for your buck and the service was great, too. I'm glad my coworker recommended this place. Thanks, Lynn! Will definitely return to the Golden Irene especially to sit out on the patio.

Been the local hot spot for years. Love the location. Wouldn't even know it's there. Great food. Pizza top knotch. An Buffalo chicken dip! BEST!
