am at the ASPCA right now and they have treated us wonderfully. My son called before 8 am and they gave us the appointment at 2 pm. I do not understand many who say in their comments that they do not have a good service. This is the 3rd time that we have come as an emergency and my cat was attended quickly, today he is in surgery and they will not give them at 6pm... and the cost of the operation, vaccine, the cost was practically nothing and the previous ones that were an operation and other intestinal problems and we paid almost nothing also ... ASPCA thank you very much for your good services and your Drs.
This place is absolutely amazing!!!!! Vets nowadays are super expensive!!!! My 4 month kitten is such a climber!!!! She climbed on to my curtains, lost her grip, fell and broke her foot ‍ I do warn, when you call at 8am, plan to stay on hold for 2 hrs + I was on hold for 4 hours losing hope when they finally answered!!! Thank goodness I was able to get an appointment!!! They saw my kitten, sedated her, did blood work, x-rays, sonograms, tests etc etc!!! They put a cast on her, gave her medicine for home All for under $60!!!! AMAZING!!!!!! They are super nice and explain everything to you! My kitten needs to go back every week now for 1 month to get her cast changed for no more charge $$ I googled how much a regular vet would have charged and it was $800+ who can afford that nowadays!!!???? This place was such a blessing!!!!! THANK YOU ASPCA
When I had to put my dog down they were so compassionate toward me. I could not believe it! The staff is fabulous, the place is spotless, and you can't beat the prices. I'm a senior citizen and they really care. I was overwhelmed with kindness.
Let me just start by saying that if I could hug everyone at the 92nd street ASPCA I would. They turned a very painful, heart wrenching ordeal into a beautiful, unforgettable experience. My family and I had to euthanize our Dante after 15 years. So on March 12, 2022, we went to the ASPCA at 92nd Street. The second I saw the building, I was a hysterical mess. The staff met us with kindness and warm heartedness. Once they accomodated us in a room which had a fleece blue blanket for him on the table, they bought him chicken baby food, cheese, and peanut butter...basically they provided everything to make him and us as comfortable as you are ever going to be losing your family member. When the doctor came in, her approach was gentle and she kept us well informed of each part of the process. She took him to the back so that the most painful part for him, which was the cannulation, we wouldn't see. Once we were ready to say our final goodbye, she explained again what the process would be. She injected him and our little love went into eternal sleep. They never rushed a moment of the process. Not before or after he passed. After a couple of days, I went back to pick up his ashes. I honestly thought I was going to pick up a plastic bag with his ashes in it. I even bought an urn! When I opened the beautiful velvet bag they gave me, I found that his ashes were in an exquisite wooden urn carved with flowers. We also received a card explaining the Rainbow Bridge a must read for anyone whose lost a pet and seeds to plant a tree so his soul lives forever as he will in all my family. What topped this beautiful experience is, I get my mail and it's another card from the ASPCA and I think wow, they really went above and beyond sending me another condolence card. When I open it, my jaw dropped! The staff sent me his paw prints. I was hysterical crying as you can imagine and if it wasn't for the fact that the ASPCA was closed, I would have gone to hug all the staff for their endearing gift to our family; counteracting a tremendous loss with compassion and thoughtfulness. There are no words in the English language that I could combine that would relay my message to the ASPCA AT 92ND STREET. We thank you so much for giving our Dante a beautiful farewell. You have a donor and a volunteer in me and my next dog will be from your center. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I OWE YOU HUGS!!!
The best place ever I took my beloved furry baby to this place and let me tell you it was a miracle they are so incredibly Profesional friendly staff I been here two times for emergency only and they are the best my 16 year old is alive because of you ASPCA team doctors and staff and everything was FREE I couldn’t believe the attention and care you give my dog and NO cost at all Thank you I love this place I’m so grateful
Let me start by saying that everyone who works at this hospital are all caring patient and understanding. From what I've seen and experienced they don't just work to get paid they love their job, all the fur babies that walk trough the door even while the staff works they take great care of they even have different pups come down to get attention and play it was so nice to see especially after my baby had to stay the night there for treatment, they sent pictures reassuring me she was doing well and called twice with updates and tons of information upon her being discharged. The facility is so clean the people are so caring not just to your pet but to us humans also, they understand our fur babies are our family. Coming back to pick her up I donated a couple of things, they take donations and could always use more items so if you have please help and donate anything helps. They do such a great job and I'm so thankful for all the great people here. Butta is now home resting and thankful for everyone who took care of her
I feel comfortable bringing my my 2 little kittens here, the vet was attentive and listened to my questions, and the technician was very nice I have to find out his name, but I would recommend, in comparison to some of the other places the prices are reasonable.
I took my dog in at 7 am. To get a tooth removed. A couple of hours later they call me and said she died. My dog was a service dog and the best dogmy family ever had. She was healthy and now my babys gone. My dog went throught so many things with me in life just to die before her time. My dog was small they should have given her gentle sedation. If I truly thought this would happen I wouldn't have taken her there. I also dislike the way the Dr. Told me about it very in sensitive. My dog had a very long life expectancy. I wish we would have just left her teeth alone.
This review will be updated in a couple of days. So far: I got appointment quickly. My kitty was treated right away, got the right treatment, checkup and she is feeling better. Will be getting a call back from ASPCA about follow up. I also use borough clinic and they are absolutely fantastic. Both my animals came from ASPCA shelter and they have done amazing work with them prior to me getting them- training, litter box training and I was able to train them as service animals after that with ease as ASPCA had behavioral team work with them both. In the future all my animals will come from ASPCA. Clinic also did their spay surgery and did a great job with that too. To make an appointment call early. And please treat these vets with the respect they deserve- they are kind and attentive. They are kind to me every single time in both clinics I have used.
Following the death of my lil brother Blue's owner. 1 year later Blue was brought to me. I noticed a quite a few health issues as he's 13 yrs old. I brought him into the ASPCA hospital. All my concerns & questions were addressed. The staff was amazingly patient with me as I rumbled on with concerns & showed pic. And even though Blue got aggressive with the nurse & Dr. they still took care of him with kindness. Recommend this site for both pets & pet parents. The staff is great I appreciate the time & help they provided us with.
