Professional and knowledgeable staff. Very beautiful unassuming office, which adds to the peaceful vibe. My pup was comfortable, and we got educated about three problem and three doctor gave us a solution. I wad pleased to have a pricing sheet prior to ending our office visit. Everything I needed was in-house. I am relieved to have my pup on the mend now. Thanks Dr. White, Nurse Sam, and April.
Ever since I've adopted my Maltese, I've noticed something off about his behavior with constantly chewing his nails, licking and hair loss in certain areas. I took him to multiple vets before I found out there was a specialist, and almost all of them prescribed my dog medicine that was similar to benedryl. Of course, it was a Band-Aid situation and the problem would never go away. When I found Dr. White's office, I was honestly hesitant at first because it wasn't a small cost; however, I was desperate to try anything to help my fur baby feel better. After my first initial visit, Dr. White gave my dog a treatment plan and I immediately started seeing results after the first week. Fast forward now, my dog no longer licks/bites his nails/feet and his dry, flakey areas are all smooth! He also has hair growth in those areas again : I am so happy my dog is feeling better, but even more thankful I found this clinic that is professional, kind and caring. Dr. White, Sam and April all were so kind and patient with all of my questions. Thank you team!
Dr. White has been a miracle worker with my dog Hero. He has an auto immune disease that no other vet could figure out how to treat. But Dr. White has worked with me the past year or so to help get Hero back to his healthy, happy self! Dr. White and the staff are well educated and up to date with the latest treatments, they are so kind and gentle with Hero so much that he looks forward to going to the vet! I love this place with all my heart. They saved my pups life!
Excellent office staff friendly & knowledgeable. After taking my dog to regular vet for years due to skin issues we were sent here who knew a doggie dermatologist existed?!. Now my 12 year old lab is better. It is expensive but Dr. Pat White knows her stuff! She is friendly, welcomes questions & will take time to explain it to you. I'd recommend her to anyone who is having problems with their fur babies.
Dr. White has been our Allergy vet for over a year now. She has taken excellent care of my cat who suffers from a plethora of allergy issues. She has a soothing way of approaching animals and is very gifted at what she does. Her assistants in the office are great. If you are looking for a veterinary dermatologist in the Atlanta area I would highly recommend her!
We have been using Atlanta Veterinary Skin & Allergy Clinic for more than a year. Dr. White has been very patient and worked diligently to help us figure out and understand our dog's allergies. We completed testing, food challenges, etc. Our Cairn Terrier was an itchy mess on our first visit. Non-stop scratching, severe hair loss. Although he has not been cured, his allergies are managed through Dr. White's treatment plan and he seldom scratches and his hair has grown back nicely. I do agree with the other reviewer that there seems to have been a few staffing issues lately and sometimes the wait time is a little long. The office is in an older house on Shallowford Rd. It's not a brand new facility by any means, but it is always clean. Overall, our dog is much happier, which makes us happy and we have Dr. White to thank for that.
I think Dr. White is amazing. I went to her for a second opinion after visiting Blue Pearl for a consultation on my field spaniel's ear infection. For any pet owners with allergy problems, you understand the cost factor can be through the roof. I went to Dr. White for a second opinion. She was able to see me that day and spent considerable time with my guy. The procedure recommended by the previous vet was an in-patient next week appointment as their Vet as several offices costing almost $2,000. Dr. White provided immediate care costing a fraction of this. It is now two weeks later and my dog's ears are well healed. Dr. White is a true professional who cares.
I am a behavior consultant. I accompanied a client of mine to an appointment, so that I could help teach her dog to not be scared at the vet's office. During his previous appointment with Dr. White, he was so upset that she could not examine him. This is a dog that lives with 4 children, and NEVER has any issues about being handled. During this appointment, Dr. White was rude, unknowledgeable about low-stress handling, and could not answer basic medical questions. She was so unprofessional, that I would never take my own my dogs to her and would never refer out her services to my clients.
I have a dog which has terrible allergies with grasses and such. I spent hundreds of dollars at a regular vet before going to Dr. White. what a miracle worker she is and very friendly to me and my Toby. It been 2 years now and my dog has been scratch/biting and scab free! No this place is not the uptown bells and whistles facilities but she is putting her heart in her work . She is a specialist in her field . I would recommend her to anyone that has a dog with the same problems
