I recently passed my checkride and became an FAA certified Private Pilot as a direct result of the thorough training I received at Atmosphere Aviation. The flight school's owner (and my instructor), Thomas McElveen, is a very experienced, professional, and knowledgeable instructor. His attitude and approach to flight instruction shows he genuinely cares about his students and wants them to achieve their goals whether they seek to be a weekend pilot like me or make aviation a career. I generally don't write reviews because it's hard to know if they are genuine. So if you are interested in quality training to become a Private Pilot or want to go much further in aviation, I suggest you schedule an introductory ride with an instructor at Atmosphere Aviation and decide for yourself.

Atmosphere Aviation is an excellent flight school. I completed my IFR rating with AA and continue to do my refresher checks with them. Thier staff make sure safety comes first with the pilots they are producing. They are also very affordable considering the cost of pilot training while still maintaining their fleet and learning tools.

Great place to learn how to fly. The staff is friendly and willing to adjust to my schedule for lessons. I can only fly after work, so the instructor (Thomas) will work late to help me finish what I need to work on. They are the only school around that do sports, private, and commercial ratings. The complex aircraft (Turbo Arrow IV) is awesome. It has newer interior and updated avionics (Garmin 480W w/ MX 20 MFD). I would highly recommend this school for anyone who wants to learn to fly or for anyone looking for a great aircraft to rent for weekend trips.
