This beautiful lake is a state park with state park facilities. This means that the State of New Jersey found this little area so beautiful that out of the entirety of Wharton State Forest, they put a clean place to change clothes, go to the bathroom and during the summer, buy food. Swimming in the lake or rowing a canoe are popular here. It is simply wonderful -- surrounded by pine trees, white sand, and filled with the clean water of the Pine Barrens, this lake is fun and relaxing. I have never seen it over-crowded.

The lake Atsion Lake is definitely one of the great places to have a rest and have a wonderful water trip! wildlife is amazing, i recommend to take a canoe and enjoy!

Atsion Lake is a fantastic spot to launch a canoe and spend a few hours on the water! Very peaceful and surreal. Lots of wildlife and native plants to observe. A "gem" in the NJ Pines!
