I had to go to the hospital early in the day for an infusion, and stopped by au bon pain on the way out to get a breakfast baked good. I wasn't expecting much, but it was GREAT! Like, actually, honestly, review-worthy tasty! The folks working there were also quite nice and clearly super organized. I'm impressed, and looking forward to next week when I return for my next appointment and pick up another treat.
I love the location at Wilmington Hospital. I was having a problem with the app and every time I would order it would not accept my payment. Eric and the other staff was so helpful with this matter. Every time I come in they are so pleasant and they know me by name. I never had a problem ordering there after that. Thank you all for your great customer service. I really appreciate it!!!
Love the broccoli cheese soup. The coffees are all quite delectable as well. Their baked goods are nothing to snuff at either. Early memories going there with my dad when i went to work with him in Philadelphia. I would have given 5 stars, but I've been to cafés in Paris.
Ive been going here since it opened. It has always been a great experience. Unfortunately the staff changed about 3 months ago, and it has gone sharply downhill. The service is terrible both online and in person. The young man who is in the front has been beyond rude to myself and a number of my colleagues. Its a shame because its convenient if you work at Wilmington hospital, but not worth being treated so poorly. I will never go back!
The staff is very unfriendly. A shame because the food is fresh. I'd rather eat in the hospital cafeteria where the staff is equally unpleasant but the prices are cheaper at least and there is more variety.
I've never been dissatisfied with the service or food quality at the Wilmington Hospital location! We were in the hospital for 52 days with my mom last year and it was always a comfort to stop down for a smile and a great meal.
I asked to order, server refused to make what I wanted and told me how something that was already made Was good too. Meanwhile he is just chatting away instead of working. Will not be returning if I can’t even order what I want. Horrible staff.
Overpriced for amount of food received. Be cautious of ordering a breakfast sandwich because they are stingy with the meat, your basically eating cheese and bread/ toast. Their bagels are good though.
My otherwise pleasant visit to the hospital where this franchise is located was shattered when one of its employees ignored me as I was waiting in line to be served and served someone else behind me instead. A Caucasian somebody. I had been waiting patiently for about five minutes while this employee chatted on and on with another customer - whom she had just finished serving- about hand and nail creams and took photos of this apparently amazing cream. I asked the customer with whom she'd been chatting, "Am I in line?" and that customer called over a different server to help me. Meanwhile, I'm staring at the other server in disbelief, waiting for an apology at least. Nothing. So I asked her. "Didn't you sending me standing here in line ?" Her response: No, I thought you had been waited on already. Right. No more Au Bon Pain for me. Ever.
This place lost its luster 2 years ago when my favorite person Tiffany left, Now it’s just dark and gloomy in there no life at all. When I visit the hospital now I don’t even bother going in there the selections are barely there, the employees are rude and disrespectful, I only go by there to see if Tiffany is back.
