Audio Express

AUDIO EXPRESS set us up nicely years ago with a car player that was much enjoyed for years.. Felt great about it. Recently when our cd/radio was stolen, I returned without question to Audio Express still on San Mateo. I bought a simple old school SONY for $129.oo and then was surprised that, with odd add ons including $29.oo to BUY a one year warranty, my total cost was near $250.oo While waiting for the store to open, I found several similar products online with very much lower prices. After parking lot frustrations I went to cashier and asked for my money back on an UNOPENED, sealed stereo box. The shocker: a casual, “Oh, we don’t do refunds”. As I was stuck with this basic almost $250 SONY, I went ahead and approved installation as no one out of the store would buy my now paid for stereo at the high price paid. While waiting for pricey installation, absolutely no customers came in for sales or installation. Starting to understand why. Early AM difficult for my schedule, turns out coukd have cone in anytime. At one time I loved Audio Express; no longer. BUYER BEWARE once you buy your million dollar car system, you can NOT RETURN UT AT ALL. With both Amazon and Walmart advertising how easy it is to RETURN items, the Audio Express item NO REFUNDS AT ALL is outdated, and in my opinion, kind of insane. I am hard pressed to recall ANY store that will not make any effort at all to give customers a refund to credit card or at least store credit. By the way, the waiting room is two chairs in a broom storage ‘closet’. Today’s trip to Audio Express is my last unless that $29.oo fee I paid for a guarantee should the product break kicks in. I can not recommend this place as I heartily would have a few years ago.

I really appreciated my interaction with Brad and Austin. I arrived at the store at 4pm 6pm close, not expecting to have any work done that day. Upon entering the store, Austin greeted me, answered my questions, and looked at my car right away. Professional and knowledgeable, but friendly and reasonable. I did some price shopping and wouldn’t say their prices are great, but wouldn’t say they’re bad either…market competitive. They ended up swapping out 4 front speakers that day took them beyond closing time. They even ran into an unexpected complication with my unusually sized speakers, causing additional work, which I appreciated how they resolved. This type of accommodation is becoming increasingly rare. Austin even stayed a couple extra minutes longer with me to answer additional questions I had. Overall I’m very satisfied with my experience at Audio Express.

I had a great experience there. Brad was super helpful. He helped me find exactly what I wanted with my new stereo. I kept having to change my install date my fault and they were understanding and accommodating. I was pleasantly surprised when Brad called me a couple months later to check up on me and my new stereo! Awesome service. Thanks!

I spent 2,000 on a Touchscreen radio that gave me problems after problems. I had to go back to this Location a total of five times Because the flat screen kept going black no Radio. The last time they forgot to connect cords to places they were supposed to be connected to it was so overwhelming. I was okay with the first couple of times because life happens and no one is perfect. But having to go in a total of five times and be with out my car a hole day is just ridiculous. I personally don't recommend this location. We spend the amount of money we do and take our vehicles to places like this Because we don't know how to do it ourselves. Just to have more Stress and be without what we paid for. And they guys they made it seem like it was my car when In fact it wasn't. It was The person who installed it wrong.

Brad was so kind to get me in last minute with same day service and my speakers were shot!! Not only did he help me out with my new sound system he helped me with an optional payment plan and I will forever be grateful for him! THANKS AGAIN BRAD!! You’re the BEST

I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to have my reverse camera installed the same day I purchased it. Since I was from out of town this was very important to be able to have same day installation so they were able to accommodate me. While I was there I really liked Oscar and Brad they both were very helpful and they helped me select a full system for my 2000 ford f350 to include radio, backup camera, speakers, and remote start. Got the entire kit with installation for a very reasonable price. I normally do not leave reviews, but the way I was treated I think they deserved this one. Thanks guys!!

Brad, by far is one of the best sales men I have ever met. I often times question if I am being lied to or taken advantage of because I am a female. His kind and reassuring demeanor didn’t make me feel this way at all. He took time to answer every question I had with patience. He explained and made the “financing” option less intimidating. He was able keep his word and try his best to follow through with time and performance expectations. He promised realistically 70-90% reduction in rattle. I was skeptical, but yes there isn’t any rattle. Not only does he reflect outstandingly from the business end, he goes over and beyond to be personable with his costumers by offering the acknowledgment, support, and the encouraging words of a friend. I’m very unsatisfied with the work they did, I payed more than $1,300 and they left the base control regulator was not installed. I understand everything is very expensive but I don’t think they did the job correctly. For the money I did I was expecting so much more.

Austin and Brad at the San Mateo location our extremely helpful and had my car alarm system running quick! I owe Audio express complete gratitude, this place is the place to go to for all your alarm system and audio needs. I have been a dedicated customer for 5 years and I will never turn away. Much appreciation to the mechanic Dylan as well he had my car ready to go even with my last minute needs. Awesome customer service!
