STAY AWAY Our experience was absolutely terrible. I recommend you avoid these apartments at all costs. Here are just some of the lowlights you can expect if you make the mistake of moving in here: - hallways smell like trash and cigarette smoke - storage lockers, bike lockers, and cars are constantly being broken into - seriously, your car is not safe, even when locked in the gated parking garage - automatic gates and key fobs stop working all the time - they tried to increase our rent by the maximum amount allowed by law as soon as our lease expired REVIEW: When we first moved in, they were extremely short staffed, and there was zero maintenance crew. It would literally take them 3 MONTHS to complete a simple maintenance request like replacing a light bulb not kidding. Also, the FIRE ALARM would go off semi-regularly in the middle of the night! Imagine waking up to a screeching alarm and having to walk down 4 flights of stairs with your pets and then stand outside in the freezing cold of winter at 2am in your pajamas. Not the best way to meet your neighbors. This happened at least once a month for almost half the time we lived there. But at least the management staff was friendly back then, and you could genuinely feel bad for them. They were trying their best with the limited personnel they had. Not any more. A few months ago, the entire office staff was replaced and now management and maintenance have a full crew of staff who don’t seem to care about the residents at all. They act very cold and aloof with residents. Here are some examples: After we gave our 30 day notice, I asked the front office for the freight elevator key so the movers could move our furniture down from the 4th floor. I was told “we don’t have a freight elevator”. When I informed them that yes, they do, and that management previously gave us the key, and that we used the freight elevator when we moved in, the story changed to “we don’t give that out any more, no exceptions”. Then, after we moved out, we were charged $85 for carpet cleaning. We requested that this fee be waived, since the carpets were so filthy when we moved in, we literally had to vacuum every room more than 15 times to get all the previous pet hair and dust out. In other words, we obviously left the carpet in better condition than it was when we moved in. We were told that our request was being sent to the property manager, but then they completely ghosted us and never responded to me, ignoring several of my follow up phone calls and emails. Beware! It seems like the new management staff feels absolutely NO obligation to the residents here. ZERO STARS, WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!
Best community in the area to live. The new manager Colleen has a lot of experience and helps the residents with any issue's they might have. Also, management and maintenance are marvelous and helpful.
Love love love this community, the new manager Colleen has been so kind and helpful. Maintenance is always so quick to respond to my work orders. Its in a great location and super close to everything!
The move-in process at Axcess 15 was fantastic, the leasing office staff are the best I've ever encountered - they are experienced and kind and always got back to me in a timely manner. Moving is stressful and the staff made it less so. The building's stylings are a little outdated for the money and given that it is not central A/C - just one big unit in LR/DR great room - but both BRs have ceilings fans, and most of all the location cannot be beat! Walking distance to everything!!!
The low income housing vibe without the low income. A month after I moved out and had received the walk through papers stating everything looked Good, I finally received my deposit back in the form of a check. One HOUR after depositing the check, I get a phone call saying that maintenance had finally went in and stated there was a smell and they needed to have the carpets ripped up and replaced and that they put a stop on the check. I gave them a 30 day notice before moving. When I went to drop off the keys, they stated they had never received that notice. Mailboxes have been broken into multiple times. People smoke in the hallways, elevator, parking garage, even in the mail room. If you don’t wanna fight for parking you can pay 175 a month to park in the garage where stolen cars are dropped off, cars are broken into and people park down there anyways in others spots who pay because it’s unsupervised and the doors constantly broken. The garage door has been broken for 9 months out of the 12 months I lived there. Elevator has been broken without a sign for months. People don’t pick up their packages so it fills up the parcel locker- so the carriers will leave packages on the floor and people will steal them almost immediately . Homeless people walking around the hallways and sleeping in the hallways and stairways. They leave their shopping carts of belongings in the halls. Other tenants leave their big trash items blocking the hallways constantly. There was a desk in the hall for 2 months, a table, an old dirty suitcase, and other large furniture items. Between people pulling fire alarms and “old wiring” the fire alarms are going off in a monthly if not weekly basis.
I've lived here for 9 months, and still have to pinch myself that I got exactly what I wanted for such a good price. After living in a 100-year-old apartment for many years, I wanted a much newer apartment that was safer and better maintained. But Portland's newest apartments are so tiny and so expensive! So I was so happy to find this newish apartment with all the features I wanted: big kitchen, dishwasher, in-apartment washer and dryer, air conditioning. And it's large! I haven't gotten to know my neighbors yet because of COVID, but I love it that all kinds of people live here -- all ages, races, styles. Everyone fits in.
We lived here for two years! We initially moved here because we loved the location but once COVID hit, the neighborhood went downhill. I honestly didn’t feel comfortable taking a stroller walk with my little girl, which is why we ultimately left. Overall, Mat from the leasing office was incredible!! He was so friendly and helped us with any question. Maintenance was also great, our requests got answered in a timely manner. There was one gal not Sarah who was rude when we tried to leave our keys... Other than that, great place to live if you don’t have a family.
We've been here for about a month and we really like it. We've meet a few neighbors and they have all been kind and welcoming, plus everyone has super cute dogs. The neighborhood is super walkable, although at night I would suggest carrying mace or something as several women that live here have been followed. The worst thing that's happened here are the mailboxes different from the package area have been broken into, several times. They added a camera and a door and to my knowledge hasn't been broken into again. But overall this spot is in a decent location, downtown is a 5-10 minute drive and New seasons and Trader Joe's is right down the road! The apartments themselves are big and decently priced, at least to us, coming from Los Angeles where a 2 bed can be $2300+ lol.
I lived here 20 years ago and it was a wonderful experience, now I have moved back in and I couldn't be more grateful to be in Axcess 15 - the staff, especially Mat, is so incredibly helpful and kind. The folks in the building are truly neighbors, and the whole place is such a fantastic place to live for me and my kid. I highly recommend this complex and community, both for its location, its residents, and its staff who is so supportive.
I've been a resident at Axcess 15 for a little over a year now and I definitely think this place deserves a higher rating than it's currently at. We initially started in a 704 square foot one-bedroom plan, but within the last month moved to an 850 square foot layout. Pros: - Very spacious floor plans, especially when comparing to other apartments in Portland. - Reasonable rent cost, especially compared to the space you're getting. - Since moving here, they have continually updated the building with new flooring, fresh paint and more. - Very affordable parking, especially compared to other apartments in the area. - Close to the Moda Center, and walking distance from various restaurants and shops. Convenient access to both I5 and 84. - In unit laundry, AC & heat, parcel pending lockers and a fitness center. - The team in the leasing office is great. Mat has always been really helpful whenever we have needed anything! Cons: -The location in itself can be loud. Lots of noise outside from the street. - Walls are relatively thin; our old unit was pretty quiet but we experience our neighbor's footsteps more frequently in our new unit. - A few issues with fire alarms going off at VERY inconvenient hours. Usually resolved somewhat quickly but not preferable to be rooted out of bed at 3am. Overall we have enjoyed our time here! The pros certainly outweigh the cons.
