I love this place!  Their fresh meat and seafood department is heaven on earth.  If you are a vegetarian, their produce area is nirvana.  Anything and everything Asian is available.  They also have an eatery inside.  The first time I went in this place I had to look at EVERYTHING...kind of upset the hubby.  So Ladies...you might want to go by yourself the first time.  The store is broken up into departments, but also into ethnic aisles (aka. Japanese, Vietnamese, American, Hispanic, etc.).

I have been shopping with AZ International since it open. And it's a great place to find all International food. I am Jamaican and appreciate that in Arizona I am able to find my culture food. However, something is terrible wrong with customers that shop at this grocery place. There's so much criminals it's sick. I have seen customers switch prices on items and go to the register and lie to get a lower price. They will move items and put in the wrong place and go to the register and lie to get a lower price. Now, if your ignorant ass doesn't realize that is stealing.....I don't know what will. Understand you are doing a disservice to not only yourself but everyone else. When you steal in a store, you are costing tax payers!!!! Including you....because now the stores will need to increase cost to make up for loss. So the next time you enter a store and steal and lie to cut your cost....remember you are costing yourself and others. So stop posting reviews to give a bad rap....when you know you stealing.

Huge huge selection here. Lots of good stuff from different cultures and ethnic foods from around the world. I've seen Mexican Vietnamese Thai Indian Chinese Etc. If you're looking for fish sauce there's more than 10 kinds to pick from. There is a food court with a few small options. The butcher has a great selection with more exotic meats than you'll find at your local chain store grocery store

We first attended the market during their annual festival which was a lot of fun. The store is layed out in well labeled sections to allow you quick access to what you are looking for.  A huge variety of fresh fruit, veggies, meats, seafood and non parishable items.

This is a very large and vegan friendly International supermarket.  The food is primarily Asian but has a large South American/Mexican representation. I even found an African aisle. 

Don't worry if you are a meat eater, by vegan friendly I mean there are a lot of vegan options too.  This place has as many vegan/vegetarian options as Sprouts, but it is much more interesting.

I am told that it is housed in what what used to be at Target store. It has a very large produce section and even has a substantial vegan frozen food section with many meat substitutes that I assume caters to Buddhists vegetarian customers.  (Note that most of the meat substitute has vital wheat gluten as a major component.)

All of the employees that I encountered were quite pleasant and even helpful. This is in stark contrast to my usual experience in Asian food markets.

There are many small side businesses including restaurants inside the market.  The restaurants looked good even though I have not had an opportunity to try them yet.

I spent the better part of three hours exploring it yesterday and finally decided to call it quits. I think I saw about two-thirds of the place.

I was happy to find an Indonesian hot sauce that I've been looking for, for almost a year.  Customer service help me find it in less than 5 minutes.  I'm pretty sure that you can find almost any Asian ingredients that you're looking for pretty quickly. 

The place is very clean and well maintained. The only plausible problem that I can have about the place is that it's so large it would be difficult to use it for a quick shopping trip.  That's the kind of problem I like to have.

I was told that they are open daily until 9 p.m.

This is an update since my focus is more vegan.

This page has a huge amount of vegan and vegetarian options.  If you are trying to be vegan and finding it difficult or grindingly boring, this place will save you!
