I love coming here to shop after eating at the restaurants at the other end of this plaza. Great selection from all over the Orient. I get all my fresh fish and seafood here at great prices and always very fresh! There are some products we can only find here that my uncle enjoys from having lived in Korea. I like trying something new each time too. I also get exotic produce at a great price. It's sometimes hard to get assistance that understands what you are saying or is knowledgeable about the product or location of something that you might be looking for but it is a specialty market. I return here frequently.

Good international selection, leaning on Asian side. Fresh fish, seafood, meats. Finally has some frozen vegan mock meats. Fresh produce, often prepackaged. Teas, rices, grains, varying noodles. Also has Eastern Indian foods and spices. Asian restaurant supply store, has decent selection of cookwares. Some items difficult to impossible to decipher.

Clean, organized, so many selections to choose from. Their produce is fresh, there's a wide variety of fruits, herbs, vegetables, mushrooms, they have s bad selection of spices, noodles of all types, desserts, breads, household items like ours, dishes, brooms, incense, soap, personal care. Their meat meat and seafood department is clean and organized with live fish, and crustaceans to choose from. When you walk in, you don't smell any fishiness in the air, in spite of the live fish and seafood available. This is one of my favorite supermarkets, I drive about 45 minutes to shop at Mekong Supermarket... It's worth the drive.

The Mekong Supermarket is located in the Mekong Plaza on Dobson and Main Street in Mesa Arizona. It has every kind of Chinese Vietnamese, Korean, Thai, Filipino food that you could ever want or need. I was astounded by the tons of different kinds of meat they cut up and all of the fish. There must have been 25 different fish that I never heard of. It's loud in there, it's noisy, but it's incredibly authentic. It is not the cleanest place on earth but if you want something Asian, some remote delicacy or something to add to a dish it's the perfect place where you could buy anything your little heart desires. I have been to the Mekong Plaza about 7 times over the years and I never noticed this humongous supermarket inside. The produce section is very extensive with fruits from all over the world. As a Westerner I was shocked even though I have been to China before I've never seen so much food and sauces and desserts in my life. Delicacies seemingly appearing in every counter with rows and rows of aisles where food is semi prepared, guy raw or fully cooked. You should see the millions of options that are available in this supermarket. I wonder why if they're regulated by the FDA and if they've been inspected for cleanliness because especially behind the meat and seafood counter I can't imagine it being clean. Why Pay $5,000 plus airfare to go to China when you could get the same feeling just driving up Dobson and landing in Little China in Mesa Arizona who would have ever thought that possible. I can't really say there's any customer service in here because people are barking and screaming to get what they want. I watched a older female in the produce department completely scream and bully a young girl that was working for her. I felt horrible for the young worker so I went up to the girl and I told that was not right and she said oh I get this every day. This woman who works there in a administrative role was bullying and yelling at this poor worker. Otherwise the food seemed fresh. They adjusted my order when I asked so everything seemed to to go smoothly this time!!

I love this place. It has a huge variety of Asian foods and people are always friendly and welcoming. I love the boba spot and the grocery store is a great shopping experience with lots of authentic and delicious items from Japan, China, India and more.
