The restaurant has a plenty of seats and cosy to stay, but the quality of foods is lower than other Japanese restaurant. Disappointed with over chooked meats and fries, funny udon soup and a little unusual styles of dishes. There might not be someone who control the quality of foods and dishes, especially udon soup!
What a wonderful place. Happened accros this gem in the City. #Excellent food. #Excellentprice This is the real deal. They didn't not deliver but you can call ahead and they'll have it ready for you. Now that's service. I really like this place.
Definitely not a place for sushi lovers. I went there for lunch, and ordered 2 salmon, 2 tuna and tamago sushi, as well as spicy tuna roll. The tuna wasn't fresh, the salmon was too fresh not curated, the spicy tuna had way too much mayo and the tamago tasted like scrumbled egg. On the other hand, the service was excellent, both fast and friendly. Not trivial in this part of town. Other cooked dishes looked better than my discolored sushi, so if you find yourself there, try one of the hot dishes.
It took me 2 anime episodes for the food to come out, it was hard to comunicate with the staff, and they got my orders mixed up. The food is normal, nothing special to it. The person next to finished eating and the witress left the table dirty until I finished my meal.... not recomended for me
Perfect authentic Japanese food place! Good service, food and environment!
My party of five people were seated immediately and served fairly quickly. We didn't have to worry about how authentic the food would taste because it seemed like we were the only people with as English as our first language. Awesome sushi and miso soup better than you've had before. Relatively low price, but this isn't the place to go if you don't like fish.
I haven't been in years but when I lived in NY we went ALL the time! The food was really, really good and so reasonable for NYC. The owner/manager was a great guy and treated us like family! Their plum wine is the best I've ever had and I loved their bite size skewers and chicken teriyaki!
The staff is very friendly and helpful and the food is good. Ordered rolls, fish, and beef rolls with some sake and came out to $80--a bit high but not unexpected. The host walked me through the menu which I found to be a nice touch. And its located between Bryant Park and Grand Central making it easy to take out some dinner on your commute home!
Atmosphere is cool but the sushi was not incredible this time. Service was slow to pick up order but hey that’s the lunch rush. Stodgy rice and uni hadn’t been shelled properly so got a chunk of shell in my teeth. Clearly a lunchtime regular spot so maybe the non sushi items are better at this time.
It can get busy, but the Lunch Specials are a great deal and worth it. As far as dinner; I cannot recommend the ever changing Dinner Specials menu enough...always something interesting and tasty. Consistently good service.
