The best part of NYC is the amount of various unique cuisines you have the chance to test out. This Salvadorian spot showcased a range of new Flavors from Pupusas with Loroco flower to Maranon drinks & the entrees of Steak & whole fried fish were excellent. The best decision to make is buy a Salvadorian Quesadilla Sweet Cheese Pound Cake, one of the best baked goods Ive ever tried, no BS!
I’ve been craving papusas since my visit to El Salvador last year so decided to give Bahia a try. This place is awesome! Friendly staff and the place was buzzing on a Sunday for lunch. I was lucky to get a table. They’ve got all the traditional varieties of papusas - I got a chicharron with cheese and a loroco and cheese. Also ordered the tipico plate, which had the plantains, cheese and refried beans. I’ve gotta say the refried beans were better than a lot of Mexican restaurants I’ve been. But the papusas knocked it out of the park - as good as any I had in San Salvador. Served hot, the aroma of corn hits you instantly and the gooey melted cheese and fillings was so good! Ill be back!
I LOVE this spot. Authentic Salvadoran food. Time for food to come out is long but worth the wait. Pupusa's were fresh and tasty.Food: 4/5
Excellent food! I went with a couple of friends and we all ordered the same dish because it is that good. The ribs with rice and beans with a side of Maduro. Friendly staff and definitely a great place to eat.
Food was delicious. Entrees were small. Prices were reasonable.
If you’re looking for a good, authentic salvadorian spot near Manhattan this is a really great choice! The pupusas were delicious, especially the cheese & beans ones.
I did a review on this wonderful restaurant a year or two ago. I had the pleasure of going there for dinner two days ago., with a dear friend of mine. My friend always talks of the Penne a la Vodka with Chicken. I decided to order that this time. She had the same dish. She ordered the same dish. For a beverage she ordered a White Sangria and I ordered a Pinot Grigio. The Penne a la Vodka with Chicken was delicious, but portion was big, so I took the leftover home. She had ordered a side dish of tostones. For dessert we opted to take it to go. She ordered a Tres Leches Cake and I ordered a Tiramisu Cake. The Tiramisu Cake was so moist and so delicious....I highly recommend Bahia Salvadoran Restaurant on Grand St in Williamsburg Brooklyn NY.....
Great pupusas! Curtido and salsa were right I had four pupusas and one empanada paired with a refreshing Sangría.Food: 5/5
The food in here was great. Loved the atmosphere of the place it was very relaxing and very nice. Love the art paintings on the walls. Thank you for the great service. I will definitely be going back soon.Food: 5/5
There was a big rock in my bean and cheese pupusa! It’s disappointing really. I’ve been going there for years but biting hard on a rock that was inside the pupusa broke a piece off my tooth : I was so hungry too and didn’t eat anything. I don’t trust them anymore and will never go back to them. Unfortunately. It’s unacceptable really. I don’t care how long you take to make sure you don’t serve food with rocks in it but you have to make sure it’s safe to eat. Quality has gone down. Adios.
