We were walking in Bryant Park Christmas Market and we were smelling melted cheese, walked the corner and came across this Reclette stand. The cheese smells so good! It had us buy the Jambon Cru sandwich which has melted Alpine cheese raclette scraped over cured ham, on a toasted baguette with spring onions, baby gherkins, and Dijon mustard. OMG! It was amazing! The cheese tasted so gooey and the baguette was fresh, and the ham was just so flavorful! I wish they have this place open all year long!
There's a reason there's a line and everyone taking pix!! This sandwich was amazing!! So hearty and filling on a chilly day in November! Staff are super kind and the sandwich was just perfect! Melty cheese, soft but crunchy warm bread, gherkins, dijon, thinly sliced ham, and spring onions - such an amazing combination!! The Jambon Cru was $17 and worth every penny! Wish I had gone back for another!!
It was a really disappointing experience for me as I was excited to try it after seeing the insta hype. So, after spending money and time, the sandwich was really bad. Instead of adding a light layer of cheese, the vendor added a whole block, which made the sandwich inedible and I had to throw it out in garbage.
We were visiting Winter Village at Bryant Park and looking for something to eat. As soon as I saw this spot, I knew I wanted to try it. My husband and I split the Saucisson Sec sandwich. It was literally dropping with cheese and oh so delicious. It was my first time having raclette, but it definitely won't be my last. If you like cheese, you won't be disappointed.
Always wait for Bryant Park's holiday shops reopening solely for Baked Cheese Haus. So glad they have a vegetarian option!
The jamon sandwich with all the add-ons was delicious. There can be some wait if it's busy. Put your order in and keep exploring the market. It's worth it.
These sandwiches are delicious you will not regret paying the 17/per sandwich. Everything in the winter village is expensive, so get your wallet ready.
Went to Baked Cheese Haus in the Wrigleyville Christkindlmarket. I ordered the Jambon Raclette, when asked if I wanted toppings I said no. The employee then added all toping’s while I said ‘no’ 5 times. Then when the manager came by because I kept saying no. The employee said I said yes to toppings-which I didn’t. When I told the manager I said no, the employee remade my sandwich and the manager told me to say no before they make the sandwich which I did. They did not apologize at all. They did not listen to my instructions and tried to blame me for THEYRE mistake. Terrible service.
Delicious sandwich and not nearly as heavy as you’d think. It’s a great snack with excellent flavor profile
