I came to exchange a birthday gift and they were really nice.
It's been years since I shopped for clothes at a brick and mortar store. I buy online, and typically stick to a brand and a size that is comfortable. That being said, I really dont have any nice clothes that fit, quite right. The last time I had to wear a decent outfit to a function, my girlfriend told me I looked like a kid who borrowed his uncle's suit. She sure doesn't pull any punches and the point was made. I needed a decent shirt and pair of pants for a casual and preliminary get-to-know-you job interview over coffee the next day. I needed it in a hurry and hoped Banana Republic would be able to get me outfitted right off the rack. I actually walked out of a few other retail stores, disappointed, and was starting to worry. I walked in to the Vinings location and was greeted by Artis. He asked what sort of situation I was needing the outfit for, and immediately offered several options. He was very patient with me and went out of his way to find me some options on the clearance rack that ended up being a perfect fit, and saving me 60 percent off retail! I am used to wearing much baggier clothes, but he and another lovely associate convinced me the sizing was just right. I left Banana Republic relieved and feeling really good about my interview. I could not be happier with the experience. I will for sure be back. Many thanks, Artis!!!!
Walked in tonight to purchase a pair of jeans or two. Not a stellar first impression. Not one associate greeted me or offered to help though there were easily 3-4 otherwise unoccupied save with restocking clothes. This was over a 15 minute window which included sifting through multiple stacks of jeans to find the right size and standing by the fitting rooms for a few minutes in full view of the cashier and several associates. Finally after approaching the cashier directly after several minutes and asking for help I was given a room to try the merchandise on. Now to offer a caveat: I was not dressed in my standard attire as today was an off day from work. I was in an older pair of BR jeans and a souvenir t shirt from Alaska. I didn't look like someone who would spend larger amounts in a clothing store. But now comes the big question I wrestle with: If I had been dressed as usual after my standard office day, would they have made time for me?? I would hope that wouldn't be the case as quality customer service doesn't discriminate based on appearance, but then it would be a poor reflection on the general ethos of the location. I am a longtime Banana Republic customer and I am not a one-and-done consumer either, so they will get another chance. However I certainly hope they will take some concrete steps toward making their customers feel like they are worth an associate's time in a very tangible way.
Tosha and Lauren really helped me out today. I haven't shopped for clothes in years, I had no idea my size or how to put an outfit together. They worked with me for about an hour to pull together a look that I love. If you get overwhelmed shopping, just ask for help and they will assist you.
I have been shopping at BR for years now including BR in vinings jubilee but I would not want to visit this location again after my experience Today. I was trying to return a dress I bought 48 days ago which is beyond their 45 days return policy , I knew I wont get any refund but to my surprise I was told I can only get $32 Store credit for a $95 dress , and that If i buy something of same amount they can still consider full amount But that also only now not any other time , now I couldn't pick a single item in the store as I didn't like any ... i rather kept the dress with me but hated the experience . I had such situation in the past at other locations and it was handled very well and I was given a green credit note which I could use some other time. If their return policies are changing as becoming very strict ... they will surely loose my business
The worst experience I’ve ever encountered, The General manager discriminated against my age , appearance & race ,she allowed an employee to call me out of my name ‘BOO ‘ is what she called me , and when I asked her for her fist & last name she refused to give it to me to make a complaint. I’m extremely disappointed in Banana Republic because I’ve been a customer for some time now & I don’t think I would be coming back ! I came in for a return and The GENERAL MANAGER Sarah gave me an extremely hard time to get store credit and instead of making the customers life easier she went a ways to not help the situation she was upset that I wanted to speak with someone higher than her in position and when she spoke to them , they approved everything which showed she wasn’t informed and I was right & she didn’t know how to do it or It just was a race thing or appearance thing as to why she didn’t want to return it . I’m completely disgusted and I’m not one to complain but this hands down had to be the worst experience for me . I don’t think that they should be in the position that there in because their making up there own policy as they go and if banana Republic allows employees like this to be in this position this is truly a problem because it just seems like they clearly own the store and are only going to run good business out for the owners so they should definitely do a more thorough check or training before letting people like this run there store ! & I Recorded everything on Video & managed to stay polite & stand my ground so I’m guessing I got under their skin as to why they were so upset and hostile with me because I was right & they were wrong !!! & if I could give less than 1 star I definitely would !!!!
Hey this right here is my place. They are welcoming, accommodating and willing to help to a tee! The personal approach brings me back every time. I shop online a lot but I skip to the BR just for the interaction and the personal shopping experience. The store at Vinings is not as big as Lenox but always clean, organized and I can find what I want quickly. If not, they will find it for me. Yes, this is my place. They dress me and you should let them dress you too. What are you waiting on?
Love the fact it's a standalone store and big enough for a decent selection of what you see online. Great customer service!
This is one of my favorite Banana Republics in Metro Atl area. The Vinings store is a little small but I occasionally find great petite items in store here. Everyone is friendly, available and goes the extra mile. Special shout out to Holly, Kimberly and RJ who have always made my shopping experience great.
9-7-19.....I always go on this store but today neither cashier spoke to me but spoke to the white ladies enetring after me. I was very disappointed!!! Other people cane in after me same color but they did not speak again. Another lady later tried to assist me and I told her my frustration. She said she could only assist with questions and that the lady not speaking was the manager!!!! Horrible..
