My dog has a pedicure scheduled and I showed up a week early. Even for how busy they looked the still clipped her nails. As I was waiting someone else came in with a dog that was not theirs that was hit by a car. The vet came out to access the dog and took it back right away he was not doing well. Just Showed how much they care about the animals that come in. Very impressed. Customer service was awesome!
We've been to several different banfield locations over the years and they always treat our pets so well. My dog is a large bully breed that is not dog friendly, and they have always accommodated her and shown her love. We love them as our vet, and their wellness program makes routine care affordable.
We have had the Wellness plan for our dog for a couple months now. It isn’t worth being stuck in a contracted plan with no way out unless being charged to cancel. We have to wait 10 months to get our dog fixed, we made an appointment to have our dogs teeth cleaned and low and behold, they called 3 days ago to tell us they had to cancel cause they are “to busy”. Only time the plan came in handy was when we first go it. Our dogs first checkup was free other than that, we have had to pay out of pocket for everything nothing is covered under the plan. I’m confused as to why we even got it at this point. We will be going to VCA which has been tremendously better in every way. I’d suggest doing some thorough research on this wellness plan before agreeing to it. Read the fine print thoroughly. You’d be surprised how much nothing is covered under it. Good luck even getting an appointment at this point. UPDATED REVIEW: I was contacted by Quincy and had a great conversation with her about my concerns. Thank you Quincy for clarifying what was a communication mistake and following up with me. Thank you for also listening to my concerns and helping me figure out a resolution. Dozer cannot wait to see you folks soon!
Worst place ever! I would not recommend to anyone who actually cares for their animals. My cat got neutered in September of 2022 worst decision ever! I felt so guilty for sending him there. when I got him back he was covered in his own urine and blood no pad or anything in the cat carrier and when I emailed to file a complaint they told me that I would have to pay extra for them to clean him up! Completely inconsiderate and careless. When I got ahold of corporate they told me to reach out to the location management and management told me to call corporate. Unprofessional and unorganized! Completely heartbreaking to see my fur baby treated like that . Yet I am still stuck paying for services monthly that they still charge me out of pocket for every visit. I do not plan on ever going back and would highly NOT RECOMMEND!!!
If you have then got your vet, be very careful because your pet isn't the priority like you'd think! Money before your pets life! Our beautiful gizzy got very sick and we took her to Banfield because we believed that they cared, see we had gotten their insurance when we had first gotten her and she was then 5wks of and under weight! But now 2 plus years later and they're telling us that if we can't pay for the procedures then we might as well put her down! And we couldn't understand why we had to do the extra procedures of the end result no matter what was exploratory surgery! And we only had the money for the procedures or the surgery but not both! Needless to say we went else where and the end result wasn't great either way! I will never use either of the 2 company's that we have. One would have let her die and the other I feel caused her death!
Their dog food is described as prescription dog food and is very expensive. Never have enough in stock when needed. The staff was very helpful as for explaining prescription and Healthcare benefits for the dog
They sold me a cone for my cat for 17 dollars. I looked the cone up online and it sells for 5 dollars. I understand making a profit… but JESUS!! Over 3 times the original price?! The people who work there are fine, it’s just Banfield as a whole. They don’t want to help, they want to scam. The only reason I took my cat to get neutered here is because it was the only place I could book within 2 months.. and I was moving in with a roommate who wanted me to have my cat neutered
Incredibly bad and honestly don’t know how these people sleep at night with the prices they charge. The pet care plans are a complete scam.. you get literally nothing for it except to be part of the club. You should check Dutch.com or any insurance company for similar prices pet insurances that will actually cover the treatments and regular visits. Banfield will charge you higher prices than the average vet clinic and I promise you the service is no better. My cat was spayed last week and it looks like a kindergartner was given a scalpel and told to give it a shot. The stitches were terrible and they somehow managed to give her a 3” cut while shaving her leg for the IV.. looks like she had surgery on her leg as well as the spay… she has been wearing the cone for 5 days because the spay would still doesn’t look good.. kind of afraid to go back to them but now I’ve paid an insane price for the job and don’t want to spend a bunch more having someone else check her out. If you care about your pet and don’t want to gamble on their health, save some money and go see a more private clinic. I’m ashamed I didn’t do better research as this is not uncommon with banfield when you look online.
We can't say enough about how helpful everyone was! We're making a big international move and Kaitlyn at the front desk and Dr. Amsler were so helpful in making sure we had everything done that we needed to, made extra office trips no questions asked and always treated our pup lovingly. 10/10 would recommend!
We take our cats here and have the plan that includes yearly checkups and dental. 10/10 recommend Banfield to take care of our boys
