Reviews
I want to give a fair review of Barbara. However, for the reasons stated below, my opinion of Barbara as an expert is devoid of positive regard. I obtained Barbara’s services through a phone consultation with an expensive tag to further my understanding about insurance policies. I also paid, received, and read her self published book “Navigating the Insurance Maze”. I will admit that I am pretty savvy when it comes to researching topics, which I had done prior to scheduling my consultation with Barbara. I decided to reach out to her in order to gain additional expertise on the matter. On the call which wasn’t cheap, she provided me information that I already knew. I hadn’t found it difficult to find the information. On this point I was fairly disappointed with the consultation. As a professional that sells herself as an expert, she wasn’t delving into the particular matter I was asking her about, nor the pointed questions I asked her to answer. She wasn’t the most forthcoming with information, which led me to believe one of two things: 1. She didn’t know, or 2. She didn’t want to give the information due to liability. My expectation for a paid consultation with a self proclaimed expert, was to gain new insight, understanding , and direction for my business practices. I found my consultation with Barbara to be dissatisfactory. I felt like I was pulling teeth to get her to expand on the topic. In the same fashion, , I found her self published book, “Navigating the Insurance Maze” to be on the same caliber as what I described above. Bottom line, I think that one can save money by doing research on their own. What she knows can be found easily with a little patience. Lastly, I would hope that a consultation with an expert would be an eye opening experience, rather than a frustrating conversation over information that I had already obtained… Leaving me no more informed. She may be of more help to those working in California, rather than a state she is uninformed about. All this being said, if you don’t want to research a topic, she may be a useful resource for you.
