I adopted a puppy from the Denver Dumb Friends League just over a month ago, and at the time, I was told my puppy Lucky was surrendered because of his high energy levels and separation anxiety. Prior to our training with Bark Busters, Lucky would follow me everywhere...always under foot. He would do zoomies through the house, jump on people, me, the furniture. Walking was a battle with him pulling the leash, darting in front of me, etc. I watched multiple YouTube videos, downloaded apps, attended Masterclasses, and read a lot of material on ways to address the behaviors Lucky was displaying. While some of the behaviors became less extreme, there was no real progress. In fact, treats and clickers were beginning to lose their effectiveness, so I was really hoping Bark Busters could help me out. I wasn't expecting a miracle, just a reduction in the problems Lucky and I were having. While I wasn't expecting a miracle, it feels as though I got one, anyway. The difference in Lucky after our first session was mind blowing! Adrienne Greene is the trainer assigned to me and Lucky, and she is fantastic! She sat and listened patiently to what I had to say and what I had been doing, and took note of Lucky, too. She clearly explained the program, but more importantly, she taught me how to communicate with Lucky so we could make progress. The training isn't just for the pups, it's for the humans, too. Within minutes, Lucky was responding in positive ways, and we were able to create a calm, happy, positive environment. We were even able to complete a walk distractions and all without it becoming a battle; it was a peaceful walk for us both! When I say the difference has been night and day, I can't stress that enough. Of course, our training is still going, but to be at a point where Lucky and I are no longer stressing each other out, is glorious. Plus, I know that Adrienne is right there for me when I need her. The program that Bark Busters has is amazing, and the support they offer is top notch. If you want to have a healthy bond with your pups, sign up for Bark Busters Home Dog Training. It is by far the best choice I made for myself and Lucky.
We were struggling with some behaviors with our two rescue dogs such as walking calmly on leash, greeting guests appropriately, and unwanted barking. Within our first session with Adrienne from Bark Busters, our dogs were truly like different pups! Within a week of practicing the methods Adrienne taught us, our dogs were walking calmly on leash, acting much more calmly and their unwanted barking was greatly improved. Adrienne is supportive and responsive, and our only regret is that we did not hire her sooner. We cannot recommend Adrienne and Bark Busters enough.
Gracie is a bouncy 20 mos, 80 lb Pyrenees/Lab mix. She has a sweet disposition, is incredibly smart and has a mind of her own. Given her size, it was imperative to be able to keep her under control I’m 97 lbs. Adrienne came to work with us and the change was almost immediate. Mind blowing. There are still areas which need work, but this session alone has made her considerably more manageable.
I adopted a 2-year old silver lab mix from a shelter a few months ago, and though he is the sweetest dog alive with me, he was NOT good with strangers or new people coming to the house. 7 different people had given up on Oso for various reasons. He would bark, growl, jump - basically just enter a state of frenzy. He would even nip at strangers. I tried everything and I mean everything, but nothing was really getting through to him. After one session with Scott where he mainly just taught ME what to do, I can totally feel the power balance shifting between me and my dog. I love that Scott's method has levels of corrections, and really what I was most impressed with is how well he understands dogs. I feel like I can talk to my dog in a way that he understands now, and I know how to set boundaries that he will respect. I can't wait to have more sessions, and I think the lifetime guarantee will absolutely be worth it. The difference I saw in ONE SESSION was so encouraging, I'm looking forward to doing daily training and homework. If you have a difficult rescue, DON'T give up - call Scott!
We were amazed at how well our puppy responded to the trainer. She then had us go thru the different steps. We learned more in 2 hours than we did in 6 weeks of beginner training at a pet store. We are now going to apply what we learned and we are excited to see the change.
She was very helpful l. Very professional. Great Customer Service. She made us understand ways to control our puppy behavior. The training has helped us at home. We see a big difference in our puppy. We are happy to continue working with the trainer.
Adrienne came to the house just yesterday to meet my boxer, Buster. I rescued him as he was a surrender. I was told because "they" didn't have time for him. Buster is quite stubborn but a super smart boy. But after 1 session with Adrienne and seeing a difference, I know in my heart Buster will get through his issues. The commitment and love I have for my sweet boy, Buster, plus having Adrienne with me every step of the way will make all the difference in not only his life, but mine. Thank you, Adrienne, and look forward to seeing you next time
My two rescue dogs and l had a “good enough for me” set-up in our home in Vermont. The Husky mix couldn’t be left alone in the house without eating through Sheetrock and window sills. I couldn’t walk the Shepherd mix because he literally pulled me off my feet when on leash. We made do because we had a fenced-in backyard- Orla stayed outside when l was gone. She had a warm dog house and she loves the snow. Perry got his exercise in the backyard or at a dog park. Our recent move to a second floor condo in Denver changed everything. I had to walk both dogs together 3-4 times per day. Perry came close to dislocating my shoulder with his pulling. With wintery weather coming, it was only a matter of when l fell on the ice, not if. Neither could l leave the house without taking the dogs with me. Orla could easily chew through a second floor window in an attempt to escape. I read countless reviews of dog trainers and know that l struck gold with Dan Gusmerotti. He has provided me with the education, skills and support to become the Alpha my dogs so desperately needed. The unacceptable behaviors driven by anxiety are no longer evident. I honestly would not have predicted this level of success. I would not have believed that l could give my dogs the continued training to keep us all on our best behavior. I give Dan Gusmerotti of Bark Busters my highest recommendation. If l could give ten stars, I would.
I have a mini pit name Bullet. Very kind dog but stubborn. I've been working with Dan for the last two months and I already have a new dog! He knows I'm boss respects my space and others. Leash training was the best thing I could have ever done! Bark Busters is a great company and worth the money with their commitment behind their services is the best part! I've already been recommending Dan's service to all my friends that need assistance with training. So glad I found you guys!!! Thank you Dan for making mine and Bullets life way easier!
