It is a very cozy place for dogs and their owner to hang out together. The staffs are very strict in term of the rules and I really appreciate it. Everyone and every dog will feel and play safe in the off-leash areas. I also like their dog menus. Lucky loves the doggie lunch box and we all love chicken tenders and fries.
I have been coming here since it opened the beer menu is always on point and the food is fresh made to order. The best chicken wings in the region and fries are allways crunchy. My dogs come home exhausted from the play. Really nice place to hangout, and meet new people. I have great conversations with staff and the patrons. I highly recommend this place with or without a dog.
What a great place! The staff were attentive and helpful. If it’s your first visit they will walk you through everything. I made a reservation for a few people and they reserved tables in their outdoor dining area for us. We were able to enjoy our food while watching our dogs play. Well a few of them couldn’t keep their eyes off of us while we ate as you see in the pictures but a few of our pups managed to tough it out and stayed on the dog side until we were done eating. FYI your dog can be unleashed in the enclosure but they have to be leashed in the area where people eat. Overall it was a great experience and much nicer than the traditional dog park. Definitely a great place to meet your friends with dogs and have a drink and a meal.
one of my favorite places to hang out on a nice day! huge plus that it's a dog park that serves drinks! my dog always has a great time. it's usually well maintained and not overly crowded. they host fun events every month also!
Can’t stay away from this business. Owners and staff are so friendly. Dogs absolutely love it. Luckily this place exists for those who don’t even have dogs …like me….to come visit for great food and drink options while enjoying watching pups play …Barkhaus is much more dog focused while keeping a modern vibe …..The design allows dogs to release their energy…. But owners are still able to supervise them …..and the on leash areas help control the chaos that sometimes comes with having dogs combined with a restaurant. Love it all around.
This place is totally awesome! We hit a lot of traffic going here but it was totally worth the drive. It was a shame the weather didn't cooperate but the event was just as fun. The place has two designated parking spot- one of which was a disabled parking spot but there's plenty of street parking. I brought my dog, Bella, and my sister brought Gracie. They both had a lot of fun mingling with other dogs. The had an outside gated seating area but it was raining so we only stayed indoors. They have two floors inside which the second floors was an off-leash area. They had a nice vibe going. They had staff come check your dog's shot records if it's your first time going there but everything is pretty much done online so you just need to show them proof of immunizations. It's a really nice place to grab a bite and drinks while you let your dogs mingle with other doggies. The staff was super friendly and was very efficient with the customer needs and helping clean up accidents in a very timely manner. I loved how they have a few areas to explore. There's a main seating area where you can place your food and beverage orders. They have a nice selection of drinks and carried one of our household faves- High Noon. They also have a lot of delicious selection of food. We got in very late but our CM, Stephanie was nice enough to order more food when we got there. We got to try the parmesan cheese fries, chicken wings, sweet potato chips, flat bread pizza and yummy guacamole. My favorite was probably the flat bread pizza and the fries. Although I could've eaten the guacamole all by itself. What a nice experience. Our whole pawmily had a great time at this YES event! We'll definitely have to come back when the weather is nicer so we can enjoy the outdoors.
Great little bar & dog park. Perfect size for dogs >40lbs to get out and play while supervised. Small beer and food selection but both were superb. Dogs need proof of current vaxes and are watched/cleaned up after by a staff member. Will stop by next time I'm in DC
This is my favorite spot to bring my puppy. The trainers especially Dennis are top notch and it's great to be able to enjoy a drink while your dog runs their energy out. They recently added daycare from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm to their options, and it is the first daycare in the area where I have no worries dropping my dog off at.
I've been here once before about a year ago from the date of this review and it was a pleasant experience, even if the line was a bit long. But this time our second visit was rough. There were only two employees working here and they were very overwhelmed. The line just to enter was absurdly long, much longer than our visit a year ago. We were in line just to get in, for no joke, about 50 minutes. We almost left several times as the line was just not moving at all. The two employees were also in absolutely no rush to get people in and were moving as slow as snails. Several times we wanted to get another drink, but the line was just so long continually. My friend who went with me said they likely wouldn't be returning with their own dogs because the line was "prohibitive" and that it was like going to Disney "90% line, 10% ride." Which is the best way to sum it up. This is a nice place, but they need to get their staffing situation under control for weekend rushes and instill a sense of quickness in their employees. I'll give this place one more chance, but if the line is as long as it was it will probably be my last visit. A near hour long wait just to get in is not acceptable at all. Plus it doesn't make sense to ask us to upload the vaccination record to their website if they just double check everything again when we get there. What's the point for doing it twice? It just makes the line that much longer. I totally understand that staffing issues are a few real thing right now. A lot of places are under staffed. This is to be expected. But when your employees are moving so slowly that it prevents customers from ordering another drink there is a problem with the speed they are working at.
Really cool place to bring your dog and really chill people here. The registration is a little bit of a hassle but it's pretty easy overall. Really good quality food, and a decent selection of the years. The only reason I have four stars versus five, is because I did not think the prices were reflective of everything there. Also, a greater amount of choice would have been nice in beers and or other drinks. That being said, everyone was very friendly and very understanding while I was there. It was my first time with my dog being off leash. There is a courtyard attendant who makes sure that the dogs aren't too aggressive named Steph Sp? , he's a really nice guy and is extremely helpful in minding your dog while you're busy ordering or whatever. I'll be back, and hopwfully will find a sale on a year long membership. Entry cost is 10 bucks btw. Cheeseburger and fries were delicious. Lots of puppy "chow" available too.
