Top-notch products and courteous staff to assist you with them. One of the better outlets i have been to. Very good.
If I could give 0 stars, I would. I bought a pair of Manalo heels, exclusive collection, from Barney's for my WEDDING DAY. I only wore the heels for two hours the ceremony and photo shoot. I changed into flats for the rest of the day. Upon my arrival, I discovered that the shoes were ripped, although I was using them very carefully and I even used heel protectors to walk on the grass. I went to Barneys to figure out a way to handle this defective product- I am not going to speak about how rude she was to me, but I ended up dealing with the manager. I am VERY disappointed to hear that BOTH Barney's and Manalo are not able to even FIX it. I didn't even ask for a return or refund my $1,085 shoes. I own many designer shoes similar and more expensive/ delicate than these shoes and I have never experienced anything similar to this. This will be the last time I will ever buy through Barney's or Manalo. Please be careful with these types of shoes as Barney's will not be able to help in ANY way at all.
I can understand why this place is closing. I had been to the store when they were not anywhere near shutting down the store. The customer service is much to be desirable for me to even buy anything from the store even then. Right now it is close to the closing for good and you can see the employees just sitting in the circle. They could careless if they are selling the products or not. One lady is on her phone and couldn't even get her attention to get the product. The product is in the case behind the counter. Another person that I can get the attention told me to get it myself. I had seen him several times at the store and always with the attitude. They got nothing to do and couldn't even get the product. The lady on the phone I remembered her telling me at one point when I did the checkout with her that when they used to have the "real" customers. Yes, if you have the real customers then you wouldn't be shutting down for good. Less attitude might help keep the store floating. Don't be so picky on who you want to assist.
Stylish high-end store with superb service. A relatively predictable span of brands and products, but the presentation is done well so it's interesting to look around. Many luxury items that I find unnecessary and it'd rather simply have good quality rather than a particular brand of product. I have heard that they've had financial troubles and might be shutting down.
I purchased a bracelet by Loren Stewart last week. I love it. Worn it everyday since I bought it. I had great experience. Just left the store today... went in yesterday. I wanted to purchase another jewelry piece. Ignored two days in a row. Stood by the display cases looking intently. I got bored and began looking up prices on line. I decided to return today because I really wanted to buy one of the necklaces. One of the associates was assisting another customer in the same area. No acknowledgement. Not asked if I needed assistance. I walked around. I work retail as well. This is one of the reasons we are losing to ecommerce. Lack of customer service. I don't like wasting sales associates time because I know what it is like for them to run around only to not make a sale. I go to a store with the intention of purchasing an item. I am an example of an easy sale. I have shopped at this location a few times. I like going to physical stores. I don't like online shopping because I like instant gratification. But this experience has made me rethink going into Barneys. I won't go back for sometime.
I love Barney's New York and miss the Chestnut Hill location. The styles are out of the ordinary, very European, funky, unique and the staff has always been service oriented and solicitous of customer needs even if shop there infrequently. Once my teen daughter loved a ring we saw there. I was short so they held the item for few days until I could return to purchase it. My daughter was thrilled. The quality is super I still wear cashmere sweaters purchased at Barneys in the 80's!!! and the sizes are perfect if one is petite like me. I love the fashion selections as well. The sales are the best in town!!! The staff is knowledgeable and friendly too. I do not shop a lot but if need to make a special purchase I head for Barney's New York!!!! You will not be disappointed: The best shoe department around town!!!
A lot of the clothes here are wrinkled which does not encourage me to buy the clothing. I saw many clothes that I liked here, but the quality was missing thus I didn't purchase the items that I wanted. Upon close examination, the stitching of the clothing is awful. The material of the clothes is also very thin; it feels as if it could rip easily. I won't come back to this again
Nice store but unfortunately is closing down like many stores nationwide.
I used to love this store until I met this sales person Aimee Lane . I came to the store I’ve been shopping for years for help with a return. And what I got? I wasted an hour of my time and left the store with negative energy all over me. She ruined my day and my and left the worst impression of the store. Will never ever go there again.
Grea needs to change her name toMrs. Negative Energy. Maybe she had a bad day but calling a loyal customer a thief is not normal. I had a receipt on my phone she didn’t even want to look at it and said that she knows what kind of business I’m doing. Really? Can you explain ME please?. Well I went to the store at different location and returned the item with no problem.
