Eating here felt like I was in another part of the world! Ribs are great. I had their signiture sandwich with beef. Food was flavorful and portions where decent. The sauces are quite robust /flavorful. Fries nice and crispy. First time having Argentine fair and loved it. You go up to the front to order. 4.7/5
I went for lunch and ordered the steak tacos. They were very good! My only complaint is that I wish they'd double wrap the tacos with 2 tortillas because they fell apart when I tried to eat them. The steak on the tacos was perfect though and their sauces are very good! If you're on a limited amount of time during lunch hour it's best to order ahead online because they tend to be pretty busy between 12-2 during the week.
DISGUSTING I WISH I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS. They are unsanitary. Please do not waste your money or time here. I was served a hair in my food and they refused to give me a refund. They had a truck this past weekend at the Latin festival in Columbus. I was excited to try their food and it smelled and looked amazing. So I got their sampler plate. I went to find a seat and started eating the fries, then the rice and that is when I found the hair mixed in with the rice. I am African American with medium length curly hair, this hair was clearly a long straight black hair, not my length and straight. I went up to go show them and ask for a refund because as you can imagine I felt sick to my stomach at the thought that I could've eaten more and only noticed the longest one. However the woman working the front refused to give me a refund and accused me of it being my own hair. The best she said she could do was to remake it but not with the fries since I ate them already. I did not want another one because it would be from the same batch with the hair in it first off, and I didn't trust that they were clean and sanitary after that; they served all the food in the same container as well so the hair was actually mixed in with the entire sampler. DISGUSTING!!!!
The food tastes great, the prices are very reasonable, and so are the portion sizes! My wife got the full paella, and I got milenesa grande. Both dishes were great. Inside was nice and quaint the restrooms were clean, too. It was a great place for a date in a budget. You do have to bus your own table after eating, but that's not a big deal. The staff were friendly as well. I would go back there again for a date or a hangout with friends. I recommend you, dear reader, try it as well. PS parking is...not the best, it's all paid parking, but that's not their fault; that's just how it is downtown. Parking: It's downtown, no free parking.
Only ordered food for takeout. Paella on point. Plantains also on point! No complaints with those two meals at all. Been multiple times already and will gladly go back. Check it out for yourself. Try not to park in the alley if you can.
I first knew about Barroloco because of its food truck. The empanadas were so good. Now they have a little spot on Pearl Street where Arepazo used to be. I got to enjoy some of their paella rice and empanadas. It came with three sauces. It was pretty good. I recommend it if you're looking for a quick Latin spot to eat at in Columbus. I'll be back soon.
This is a cozy hidden gem tucked away on Pearl St. Order at the counter and theyll take your food to your table. The interior is simple but don't let that deter you. Empanadas are the best I've had in Central Ohio cheese, veggie, beef. Paella is nicely seasoned. Milanesa was excellent for the price too. We'll definitely be back!Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: Yes
The food was "ok".We ordered out because I couldn't breathe due to smell of the cleaning solution that was used. The smell actually over powered the scent of the food at Barroluco. Overall it was super nice and clean. I'll be back!! Parking: No parking available.
I saw this sign when I was picking up my contact lenses from the optometrist. So in love with this restaurant! The paella is so rich and comes with several small plantains. Highly recommended if you’re in the downtown area.
Good portion sizes even for big eaters I eat a whole large dominos pizza by myself for reference and the full paella with one churro as dessert left me full. The full paella had chorizo, fajita veggies, sauces, chicken, and beans. I will only say this so that people can have a point of reference, but the full paella is so much better than Chipotle's bowl. Better price and a deal too. I'd say this is the best deal on the menu. It punches above its price point. Rib was seasoned and cooked well. All the sauces are so good. Adding chimichurri to the ribs made it The churros were very crispy and crunchy, but still moist in the center. It only has sugar, no cinnamon but I still loved it. Similar to the ones I had in TJ Mexico. The shredded pork was a bit too salty on its own, but when mixed in with the rice, beans, and sauces, it was very good and not salty at all in a good way. The fried plantains definitely helped add to the dish. I hate bananas but I love fried plantains. The "Ready to go" paella $3 version is good but wish it could have a little bit more seasoning. Highly recommend getting the chimichurri sauce and pouring it over. Maybe the restaurants I've had a la carte paella, Spanish rice, and Mexican rice from were over seasoned, so it may not be under seasoned. Idk. I added photos for reference. Standard to-go fork and food service glove to show the portion sizes. Also ruler for the churros. I'm from Los Angeles and nothing beats Hispanic food from there iykyk, but this place will definitely be added to my go to places in Columbus.
