When it's good, it's really good and when it's not good it's just ok. The burgers are good as are the pretzel and chicken fingers but they need to add honey mustard to the menu. Skip the perogies as they were over cooked and dry when I had them. There are still more delicious items to try on their menu. Service is hit, then hit then miss. It's an imperfect thumbs up from me.
Great staff, Great food. They are good at what they do here. I’d get the burger but the breakfast menu slaps too!
I tried the turkey burger which had stuffing and came with a side of cranberry sauce. Was very delicious and filling. Also had a side of fries. The waitress was super nice and genuine. I like the vibe here, similar to Tony Jaros location. Will be coming back for some more burgers!Dine in: Yes
The burgers are absolutely fantastic! I went just to check them out cause I kept coming across this place on suggestion lists, and now I keep going back. The pretzel is boring, but the pierogis are so good I'd suggest stopping to check them out on their own if you're in the area. The service here is good and the staff are friendly, but one example stands out in particular. The first time I went there the faucet in the men's room had barely any water running, and though there was hand sanitizer it was still kinda ehhhhh. I told the bartender and she checked with someone else and told me they knew and were on it. She also volunteered the assurance that the staff all use hand sanitizer anyway. I'll admit, I thought, "Yeaaaaaah 'somebody' will take care of it. Whatever" cause, c'mon, that's how some places are. Not here at all. I went back two days later and that faucet worked better than my own at home. Very impressed that when they said they'd address something they really followed through and did it quickly. It speaks to being a place that actually cares about quality and service in all aspects. And again, the burgers are amazing
Cute and clean dive bar in Saint Paul, bigger than I expected it to be! We came on karaoke night, and it was certainly a karaoke night! We both got burgers, a side of fries and 2 drinks each. Food was pretty good! Fries were pretty much less salty McDonald’s fries. Also they over charged me for my twisted tea, which states it’s $4 on the menu, but on the bill says it’s $5.50. Just be cautious of that! Fun crowd as well. Overall we had a good time.
they have good burgers. the name is succinct, proves the mission. they have chicken sammiches, too. cheese curds with cheese sauce and pickled jalapenos...just right, not hot. fries are simple, good. burgers have varieties you will like, including impossible for buds who dig non-meat. tjis place is what you WILL like. frsh tasting salted and cooked as it ought to. no gimmicks. all delizhiznizz. btw, old fashions are goodski as the many beer choices. if you are hungry, go. you WILL enjoy. *Morgan was outstanding. Great service and super personality.
the fact that you can get an incredible burger AND pierogis in the same hopping dive should be enough to warrant a visit, but then the wings...oh, the WINGS. perfectly fried, juicy behemoths of chicken so well prepared I couldn't quite believe it. it's a good thing this place isn't in my neighborhood, otherwise I'd be here near daily.
Food: I was SHOCKED at the quality of the food. In the best way. The menu is simple, but things are cooked well and are full of flavor. My fav thing is the house burger! Also, they have fried mushrooms. Service & Atmosphere: So I'll be honest, as a diverse person - I was not sure about going to what looks like the long standing neighborhood watering hole. But, it's been welcoming : great for pick up or dine in. Has indoor and outdoor seating. Service can be a little slow sometimes, so don't plan to rush through your meal if you dine in. Plan to eat and chill. It's worth it. Kid-friendliness: Okay - so I grew up in my Grandma's fav bar, so I might be the wrong person to ask lol but, you could definitely bring like a kid here for lunch or brunch. Lol maybe a kid over the age of 8 though.
Wow! What a fun Thursday night place! They have karaoke and a crowd of fun young folks to hang out with and get to know! Prices are pretty reasonable and the menu includes some vegetarian friendly options so it's not just for you meat eaters out there! A pretty cool place you'd never think was this much fun on a Thursday night!
I LOVE this place. It is just the right mix of a " diner/ dive bar" . The staff is great. My fav. waitress is Haley, ASK for her! Best food around town and my 2 year old also LOVED karaoke , and she was welcomed with open arms . We felt right at home . Thanks Burger Dive !!! <3 Kid-friendliness: Awesome with children Parking: Street, and parking lots
