Best Indian buffet in the Birmingham area by far!! We always eat too much as you can see, it's impossible not to! The owner and staff are very nice and make sure you have everything you need. I'm always surprised there aren't more people here. Everyone here always talks about how much they enjoy the food. They have lots of vegetarian and meat options so no matter what you're eating they have you covered!
Delicious food and excellent service! The server was so kind and patient with us, and our food was perfect. There were a lot of vegetarian and omnivore options, it was hard to choose only one thing on the menu. My sister and I were just looking for a quick bite to eat, but we may have found some of the best Indian food in the area. We'll be back for sure!
Absolutely horribly managed restaurant. No sense of priority. We had a group of 8 and the food was brought out 30 minutes after each other. It was completely unprofessional. The service was subpar and no one assisted us and sat us for a while with no care. Absolutely overpriced and horribly managed. For example, their “Drums Of Heaven” is 4 chicken wings wrapped in foil for 14 dollars. Absolutely outrageous. Prices are incredibly over inflated along with absolutely horrible service. Do not come here this picture of 2 small cups of curry and rice was 20 USD. It’s not authentic either Maybe instead of reading reviews while in dinner service get the food out first. Absolutely unprofessional.
Quaint little Indian restaurant in Birmingham. Very clean, unique dishes with a twist to Indian food while maintaining the authenticity and taste. For eg., I got the Quesedilla which were made with tandooru roti and sruffed with Channa and cheese. I loved it. Vegetarian options: Many many options Parking: Easy parking
Waited an hour for the food, got yelled at because I asked if they don’t have the curry trays for dinner, and our garlic naan has fresh pieces of garlic instead of what they usually serve. But the food is good!
Good news! The buffett is opening next week. In the interim, their lunch menu is filled with affordable dishes between $10-12. The menu was redesigned to focus on the different curries or sauces for which you pick the protein. Their is also an Tandoori option. The food was filled with flavors and as always the Naan is made fresh. The service is always hospitable and their teamwork in service is impeccable.
We love Indian food, and this place didn’t disappoint! Butter chicken and chicken tikka masala with naan were amazing. Prices weren’t bad for lunch—keep meaning to try the weekend buffet I think it’s on Sunday. Interior isn’t anything to write home about, but we go for the food—service was great too.
I was very pleased with my takeout experience from Bayleaf 280. Their butter chicken, saag paneer, chicken khadai, and samosas were excellent. They were out of some the other items ordered, but offered generous replacements. The only reason my review is 4 stars instead of 5 is that their lamb korma my favorite was not as good as the other dishes. It was what I'd have expected at a lunch buffet and was not as good as the other things. I'll be a repeat customer, but I'll go elsewhere for korma.
Long wait for a big dinner pick up order 5 entrees, 5 breads, raita, chutney flight and gulab jamun rabdi. All of the entrees, breads and appetizers were excellent but the dessert was missing altogether. It was a $9 dessert so that wasn’t great. If it weren’t for the missing dessert I would give five stars. Very friendly service. Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options Parking: Easy parking
Excellent food at Bayleaf! Last night I was craving curry and also wanted goat. Not a lot of places in Birmingham serve goat, but they do! While ordering takeout over the phone, I asked which curry type they would suggest with goat and was told the Rogan Josh. I ordered that with the garlic naan my favorite. It was absolutely delicious and even though I had planned on saving half for lunch the next day, I ate it all. Perfect flavor and the meat was very tender. I am sad that the lunch buffet is currently unavailable due to safety measures for COVID-19, but I completely understand and am thankful that the well-being of their guests and employees takes priority. I'm looking forward to it returning when this eventually passes. As well, when I entered the restaurant to pick up my meal, I was happy to see that tables were very spaced out, guests were seated very far apart, and all employees were wearing masks. Thank you for the great meal! I will definitely be back soon.
