An engaging art center inside of an old firehouse from the 1880s. There's always a new and exciting exhibit on its many floors. Best part is that it's free to all!
I've lived in Burlington for 27 years and in so many ways BCA has made my experience with the arts so much richer. Having access to creative and professional development, cultural engagement, public art, gallery openings and dialogue about art and it's place in our society has allowed me to greatly deepen my knowledge base and community connections. I would highly recommend a BCA event, class, workshop or artist discussion for visitors or area residents of all ages. Often folks are unaware that the art or experience they are enjoying is a Burlington City Arts effort. There is always something to do at BCA and a membership has many benefits as well.
I believe BCA is one of the most important organizations in Burlington. It has an enormous impact on the vibrancy and very existence of the Vermont arts community. It is well run and managed by a group of talented, dedicated and hard working individuals. We are lucky to have them in this community.
BCA is at the heart of Burlington's creative and cultural community. Wonderful exhibitions, events, classes... The organization provides numerous opportunities for artists and art lovers to engage.
I was honored to have an exhibition at BCA a couple of years back. I was mightily impressed by the level of support they provided me as an artist. And that was just the tip of the iceberg. BCA is an extraordinary place, and organization of very dedicated individuals committed to cultivating and nurturing the arts as an essential part of the fabric of our beloved city. I am very proud to be part of BCA and encourage anyone visiting downtown Burlington to swing by and check out the most recent exhibition. Who knows, you may be surprised.

Festival of Fools - one of the best Burlington events. Plus, they've got great rotating exhibits at their location on Church Street. Check out their summer lunchtime concerts if you're around and looking for some casual music.
Definitely a place to poke your head into. The gallery is free and showcased several exhibits by many artists.
Small gallery but a lot to capture your attention. They also have a lot of community arts programs
BCA is an enormous public asset for the Burlington VT community.
