Bear Mountain Log Cabins

We booked our ride somewhat last minute, and I am so happy that they were able to accommodate us. Bear Mountain Stables goes above & beyond just "a nice place to go horseback riding". The lady who runs the place - I think they refer to her as Ma - was really great. Our guide Phil was a true cowboy with a huge heart. He was full of stories and was very informative. It is very apparent that the horses are very well loved and cared for (and this was highest on my list of importance). I would go back here in a heartbeat, and will next time I visit Eureka Springs! 😊

The cabin was BEAUTIFUL! EXCEPT...The furniture in the livingroom was horrible. There was dog hair on the worn out horribly uncomfortable futon. It was just the 2 of us but no comfortable place to sit in the living room. The TV was an old small tube tv. One window unit for the entire cabin didn't cool the bedroom well. Luckily we brought a fan so that helped circulate the air. The bed was small and HARD. There are big beautiful windows without blinds in the bedroom so the sun had me up at 6am it was SO BRIGHT in the bedroom (not what I want to do on vacation). When you own a place like this and charge people to stay there, you should update worn out furniture. It was a nice looking cabin. It had a beautiful view but it was SO uncomfortable. We had to sleep on the HARD dog hair futon our second night because the livingroom was not as bright as the bedroom. I was SO GLAD to go home to my comfortable couch and bed so that I could get some sleep. For over $400 for 2 nights I expect to be comfortable and able to rest but instead we left EXHAUSTED. So in the end it was pretty to look at but I wont stay here ever again. I wouldn't stay even if it was FREE.

We stayed for 2 nights, amazing , very friendly and good prices for what you get. The only reason this is not getting 5 stars is the smaller shower and Queen bed. If there was a 4.5 star I would rate 4.5 ;) They let you have the condiments in the fridge and breakfast basket had 6 eggs, which was more than enough for 2 breakfasts for us. Pat (the owner) answers the phone for reservations. It is small only 5 cabins I think, check the website of course. When you are looking for a more personal touch I would highly recommend! PS they have parking! (many places in Eureka are had up for parking spots).

This place is AMAZING! They were soo very nice! The cabin was so beautiful! Loved that the horses were right out side of our cabin. Lavon was the lady that helped us with the trail ride. I've been riding most of my life. My 10yr old Zoe had never ridden in the mountains. Lavin was very patient and helped her feel more confident! Was an AMAZING EXPERIENCE!! Mrs Paty was so sweet. I would give this place 10☆!! And the prices are VERY Reasonable !!! Can't wait to go back!!!!

My family and I stayed in the luxury suite this weekend and had a fabulous time! The cabin was clean, towels were fresh, sheets weren't dusty or smelly. We are already talking about coming here again in the fall.
