I was visiting Chinook and Havre during late May and early June this year (2016). I wanted to make some umbrellas, but needed a serger. My dear friend, Shirley Smith, who lets me use her machines when I visit, was out of town. I stopped in at Bearly Square Quilting, and was allowed to sew with a serger from their inventory for as long as I needed. I sewed 5 umbrellas that day. Each employee went out of their way to make me feel welcome and comfortable. I enjoyed the experience so much, that I purchased the Bernina serger I had used, a serger cart, thread, and quilting kit fabric! Since then, I have sewn a total of 24 beautiful, unique and fun umbrellas. I am looking forward to stopping in again when we return in October. Marilyn Stewart Battle Ground, WA
