What a gem in KC this place is! Worth a stop in to see some gorgeous artwork. I am partial to the pottery work. They offer space for artists and kiln firing.
The most impressive ceramic studios and gallery I've ever seen. It has everything a ceramics maker and collector could ever want or need. Top notch in every way. I can't say enough good things about this place. Everything a ceramicist could need under one roof. There's a lithography studio upstairs with an impressive gallery upstairs. All of this is in a beautifully restored historic building with ample parking. I am floored by how well they planned, executed, and manage this gem of the Kansas City arts community.
My wife and I took a pottery wheel class here and really loved the class, facility, instructor, and the location. Belger has an amazing studio feel that we have already started missing. We will be back as soon as we are able!
Amazing gallery space and exhibits. The supply shop doesn't carry as many glazes as they used to, which was a bit disappointing.
Been talking wheel throwing classes here. The gallery is beyond beautiful. Great exhibitions come through here. There are also some hand thrown mugs available for purchase. Affordable! As for my classes, i was given a code and can come in and out during studio hours. Classes are very worth signing up for! My registration was $140 and it included a course once a week for a month 4 classes. Unlimited studio access, 25 lbs of clay, firing and glazing. I recommend you come in an additional 2 times a week aside class time.
We is signed up for a four week class. The first day we received some directed instruction. After that you’re pretty much on your own. I mean you can ask questions here or there and there’s a few demonstrations. This really left me in neutral. I think the main reason that I’m just appointed is because of the way I was treated when I came to pick up our final items. Dismissive, short and super rude. First. they wouldn’t even allow us to come into the door that we were using for the classes. just ridiculous because I had to walk all the way around the back and find a door that I have never used before so I wasn’t even certain where I was going. There’s no parking. So I had to walk out through the back and all the way back around to my car to put my things in the car - making two trips. But more importantly, I was treated rudely as I was picking up my items. We run a business. I would never have treated any of our customers so rudely.
This is such a cool experience! Loved everyone there and all the information provided is amazing. 4th grade field trip was a success! Bowls wood fired in 50 states was a favorite along with the totem like pieces.
I have taken classes there for several months and I am in love! Where has this been my whole life? Everyone is so welcoming. The teachers are so friendly and kind. The staff, wonderful and so helpful. It has become my favorite place to be.
Incredible gallery with local, national, and worldwide representation. The staff were very kind and helpful while my friend and i perused the pieces. Hooray for the local art scene!! Thanks so much for today and see you soon!
This place was great! The Art Gallery was full of amazing pieces. We bought loads of glaze and some clay supplies saving a good deal of money we'd have lost had we decided to order online. Worth dropping in and checking out.
