Very clean an quiet place to get work done or to study
I actually love this place not only for myself but for my kids as well. They have so many wonderful books and events for the kids. I'm able to come and just print my stuff out every week. Yea sometimes the printer don't work but no a big deal being that everyone uses it. Yesterday 9-19-19 I really needed to print 19 papers out and the printer only printed 1 out of 19 that I needed it. One of the staff members David Jackson-EL was so kind and patient with me cause i was mad and was in a rush but he tried his best to fix it and it just wouldn't work, make a long story short, i had to leave but when I came back today and I saw him, I asked was the printer working cause I wanted to try again but he looked at me and said that my papers had printed and he saved them for me instead of throwing them out! Man ya'll have no clue how happy I was, only because not too many people care about your business and for him to do that was awesome cause he didn't have to and most staff here wouldn't have either, so I just wanted to thank him a lot.
Check it! If you can block out the distractions babies crying, people's cell phone's going off, etc..etc , then not too bad... But seriously... Try a more quiet library to work.
How are you able to print out 2 signs and post on the door "printer not working" ? A printer had to "print" the letter you typed and taped to the door ! Is it me ? Nice staff very friendly and helpful. This is a Beautiful facility . I lost my umbrella and they held it for me. I just don't understand how they don't have ink or the printer isn't working when that's a major service needed to print class work documents & make copies . But this is a nice library if you want to read or have meeting. I was told by staff anacostia is the closest library .
The library is one of my favorite places to hang out. It's a positive, peaceful and informative place to be. I love living near a library.
This is a temporary library until the official building is completed. This establishment is pretty small but it is nice. The free wifi access is a plus. The interior has a modern design. If you have a laptop there are limited seating to accommodate you. They have plenty of computers but get there early for they will be occupied completely minutes after opening.
It's a really nice library Real big/ Spacious, Computers work excellently, and the staff is really nice too. This library has became the main place I come to print, check out books, and whatever else you should really check this place out if you live close enough to it.
Pro - Nice location, friendly personnel, superb building indoor & out door. Cons- In the so called private study rooms there are some users who speak on their phone as if they are in a drink party or night club... very loud & for very long minutes, who distract you from focused study.
Worst Library Ever, It Limits My Network Browsing on the Computer Which means i can only get on a few things and think that should be removed. My Son Went Down there and Wanted to Write up an essay About the Animal Cell on the Desktop then send it to his Teacher via Email. Since the Mac Computers in the Teen Center Won't Allow you to log onto Microsoft Word, he decided to ask the librarian. She denied he request of getting on the Adult Computers Claiming it was policy but know he is failing Science Due to the Fact he didn't Write that essay. I think there should be a change of computers in the teen room from Mac's to Dell's.
Its a really nice building with very nice staff members my only thing is the air near the tables meant for laptops and such is always cold even now with the cold weather and the teen section needs to be updated there are never any new books and maybe changing the ages at least to early twentys its just a little weird there are more young adult books in that section than teens just a suggestion but other than great library especially for that area
