This is a fairly good library but hours of operation has changed recently. They need to inform the public of this and change their information on Google. They have people waiting out in the cold to get in the library. This is unacceptable.
It's a nice library. It's often pretty quiet and study rooms are usually available.
Today and every other day has been a positive experience. The library is not in the best location but thats not there fault. The employees are so unexpectedly nice and helpful. I keep going back.
This library does have a decent selection of books and is mostly well kept. On my most recent trip, I was excited to learn that they had most of the books that I needed and were in fairly good shape. However, if you plan to go for study, research, or just a quite place to read a book, then I'd advise you do so in the mornings, that is before the children are let out of school. Otherwise, be prepared to have an unpleasant experience. Also, if I were this library, I would up the policy of no eating or talking.
Library is kept up however you have homeless and unusual people walking around pacing back and forth. The study rooms are nice. The staff is nice, however 1 young lady was rude when I ask her to make a copy of a paper for me, she was unprofessional and said it in a rude way "you need to do it yourself,15 cents back there." with a smirk. I will never work in that type of environment, and neither my peers.
Great besides the pesky children running around! I don't mind them because I'm a child myself 12 years old but they don't seem to know the meaning of "Be quiet". The staff members are great but occasionally there's a few 'snappy' ones and there's always a idiotic special police officer that does nothing but nag at children instead of getting the loud & obnoxious teens and adults on their phones and other devices playing disgusting music.
This library is beautiful, but it always has a strong odor, there are always homeless people walking around and the computer areas are filthy. I know this because my skin itches so bad every time I sit at a computer. I have sensitive skin and every time something or somewhere is dirty, I feel it. This library is also VERY LOUD!! No one has regards for quiet in a library! It is so irritating and disruptive frequently! People are either on their phones, laughing super hard or are just having loud conversations. To top it off, the workers say ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!
I had the pleasure of meeting a library staff member named, Walter, at this location. Walter was extremely helpful in assisting me with room reservations and answering my questions about digital access. This library is small and has limited computers, but otherwise it is a decent library.
The limits on service are disheartening. You can only pick up books and DVD's you have placed on hold. If you want anything else you have to ask for it and wait for the staff to bring it to you. Time on the computers is limited to 45 min a day.
This place may look nice and all.... but dont let your eyes fool you!!! On the inside there is a mess around the computers and around those computers there are ants everywhere!!!! i cant count on one hand how many ants i have seen and have tried to crawl on me!!!!!! And every time i sit at a computer my skin starts to itch. I dont even know why....i dont have sensitive skin. And when i leave the library, the itching stops. The keyboards are also really dusty and dirty. Children run around and speak and laugh loudly and it gets out of control! I do not recommend this library to anybody. This library is filled with ants and the keyboards are filthy and some have food stains on it. So I do not recommend this library to anybody.
