Benanti's Italian Delicatessen

My first time here and I will recommend it over and over again. Charlie is wonderful! We were on our way to the beach and stopped for sandwiches. My family members know the place and drive out of the way to go here. I'm from North Carolina and this reminded me of a small town country store. Love it

I visited Benanti's for an authentic Italian sub and came home with total deliciousness. The sub was world class in both freshness and flavor, and the quart of marinara and meatballs I decided to bring home on a whim for dinner were next level. I'm excited to return to this gem to thank the fine gents at Benanti's for the fantastic food, their friendly service, and come home with more goodies that make my taste buds dance.

I have been going there for years and I have never been disappointed. I usually go there for either a sub sandwich or a salad. The owner Tony still works the counter just like the first day he opened. This simply adds to the dell's ambience. The frozen ravioli's are outstanding.

I've been getting sandwiches and other things here for years. No one comes close where I live now, in south Jersey. One of the best Italian deli's around!!!!

Authentic sandwiches. I met Charlie and he made me a Italian sandwich. By far one of the best I have eaten since I was a kid. The shop just Brings me back to the old days

Old school Italian men making sandwiches since I was a kid. Turkey, sharp provolone, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, mayo, and oil/vinegar is my go to. Excellent!

Very tasty sandwiches. The fresh mozzarella was a plus. Asked for a menu and the person behind the counter gave a bit of an attitude sarcastically saying, "what's a menu"? Could have done without that but the food was certainly good..

THAT'S AMORE !!!!!!!!!!!! Ciaro is the best ever. Is super friendly and always takes care of all his customers the old school Italian way with love and respect. My most favorite sangwich shop in all NJ. I go 2 to 3 times a week. And he makes fresh meatballs and sauce for everyone. Always has pure Italian ingredients that are always farm fresh. Best Italian food aside from NONA. he is so warm and loving to each and every customer. whether it is your first time there or 100th time. everyone is treated like family and given respect always. this place needs to be on TV and recognized by zaggat reviews. the best and most fresh Italian foods ever from home made meatballs, sausage, chicken parm and pasta sauce. to the best and biggest cold cut sangwhiches anywhere. with the best breads found. than to top it off he has an amazing assortment of fresh genuine Italian cheeses to choose from. will even make you real fresh grated cheese. his prices are on point even with the cost of everything rising he still takes care of all his customers. he is so pure and refreshing to be around. he loves kids and always takes time to come out from the counter or kitchen to say hello to my son who he is amazed with so much and loves his real old school Italian name Michael-Angelo.. this place is the best shop in all of Bayonne and to me better than many Italian delis in NJ & NY
