A friend of mine turned me on to this place, I don’t live in the area, but when I’m around I make a point to stop. The freshest sandwich and food I have ever had. By far some of the best I have ever had outside of Sicily. Owner is very friendly, service is fast and diligent. I really love this place, The only problem I have is that I don’t live closer! Otherwise I would be in there daily!!!! Thank you!!!

Sooooo, I love this place! Not only are the sandwiches amazing, but customer service is also fantastic! This place rocks and ranks in my top 3 sandwich places, which is big! This is the best bread I have had in my entire life Yup, I said it! With that said, I will definitely be back.

These beauties are massive. The bread is fluffy, crunchy, pillowy and perfect. Everything is fresh and fabulously stacked. Ty for the potato salad, macaroni salad my favorite!! and the decadent mousse cake, Giovanni! We will stop in next time!

I've lived in Bayonne for nearly 11 years now and I just discovered this place... man have I been missing out. This place is as amazing as everyone says - but don't just read about.. you've got to experience it. You walk into this wonderful old school shop. Not only are there sandwiches, but the hot food is excellent. I took my time looking around; the smell of the place and and the nods of the people waiting in line confirmed that I was in a great spot. I finally decided to get a Shrimp Parm hero, some crabcakes, an order of their tiramisu and some cooked octopus. The Shrimp Parm was perfectly seasoned, properly done and also monstrous. I started eating it and before I knew it - it was gone! The crabcakes were soo nice that somehow 2 of them were eaten before I got home. The octopus is yummy and the tiramisu will be wonderful dessert later. Listen - stop reading - go there! Go get something homemade and delicious to eat. I swear you will be coming back.. I know I will!

Everyone was so kind and friendly! I was given a piece of the fresh mozzarella to try and it was very good! I got the number 1 sandwich. Half size is big enough for 2 people. I only ate one half at a time. Super filling and super fresh. Tasted just as fresh the next day. I can’t wait to go back and get another sandwich another day.

Forget about it!!!!!! The best sandwich in New Jersey. Gio is the man. He makes every sandwich with love and passion. Not like those other guys, that slap the meats on there and then drench it with oil and other condiments and make the subs soggy. At Giovanni’s, he puts Balsamic vinegarette, roasted peppers, fresh mozzarella on the sandwich and the Italian bread, till this day I don’t know where he gets it. It’s kind of toasty on the outside but soft in the middle. It just compliments the sandwich. And he has many sandwich options. All in all, the place is great.

This place is a hidden jam. Fresh, tasty, clean and their attitudes are beyond they are so respectful. Mozzarella is delicious the best i ever had. Turkey is fresh, clean first time to feel the meat rather than what we get from any other market.

I finally have had a chance to eat here. I've been hearing so many good things about it and had to try one of their heroes for the first time. I called in my order and then picked it up, very fast service. Also I made a special requests to cut the large or as they call it the whole sandwich in 3 equal parts so I could share with my 2 Boys. I wasn't expecting it but the not only did that for me but also individually wrapped each piece, Wow excellent! Each peace was so big. I was feeling full after half of the he sandwich but it was so good I had to eat it all. High quality fresh cut prosciutto and homemade mozzarella you can't beat it. The Bread was perfect next time I'm trying the Pizza, looking forward to it. Enjoy

If you want a great chicken sandwich or regular sandwich, this is the place to go.. they have the best mozzarella. It's fresh and creamy, you'll have to come and try it for yourself.

Delicious #4 sandwich! Drove about a half hour to pick up a sandwich. The owner helped and even gave us free samples of their fresh mozzarella and chicken cutlet pieces! The sandwich was awesome, fresh and served on homemade bread—can’t wait to return! Thanks Giovanni for the excellent experience all around
