I highly recommend against Best Buy in general after a series of experiences made last month. Their financing department is intentionally misleading people into applying for credit cards. I had 3 separate employees tell me that the 12 month financing was a payment plan not a credit card. This is a lie. It is a credit card. The interest is freaking nuts if you EVER miss a payment. I believe 34%?! Do not fall for it. I now have a credit card I need to cancel. They don't even allow you to choose the amount the credit card is for so I have more utilizable credit than I could ever need. The Citibank system is incredibly difficult to navigate and if you accidentally overpay your balance in order to pay it off they WILL NOT REFUND YOU AND HAVE NO WORKING PHONE NUMBER THAT I CAN FIND TO FIX THIS. I was also lied to by staff saying that it will not impact my credit score. It did. My partner is a former Best Buy employee. When he worked there lying to intentionally scam people into applying for credit cards was not a part of the job description. I am so disheartened by that. I almost get it, IF it was required by Best Buy Corporate, but doing that without asking is just heartless. I also had a very mixed experience with the geek squad. One man was actually quite nice he's about to get married and in his 40's, but another employee was so incredibly rude to me and an older woman in line who was clearly chronically ill. After waiting 25 minutes after being told to come in, I asked a Geek Squad member how long it would be until I was seen. He was so aggressive and annoyed that I asked, and refused to answer the question. There were several other employees around him that all looked miserable and ignored us. I ended up coming back a different day after making an appointment online. The rude person helped me again, and just was super rude the entire time and struggled to find my case or appointment. I'm not a particularly sensitive person, but I left that interaction feeling gaslighted and wanting to cry in frustration.
I had a tech emergency and Best Buy came to the rescue! My laptop crashed right before a big presentation. Panicked, I rushed to Best Buy and the staff immediately jumped in to help. They diagnosed the issue quickly and recommended a solution that saved the day. Their expertise and friendly service turned a stressful situation into a smooth recovery. Best Buy is my go-to for tech support and customer care!
I had the worst experience ever. Please don't place a labtop on sale if your employees can't find the computer. They looked for 40m or more. I asked for the corporate number & the district manager and both of the managers refused to provide the information. I was given a 800 number with a lady on the line that was trying to get the sale, but I was trying to make a complaint. So I walked out without a computer & unhappy. They let money walk out the door $500.00-$600.00. There were 2 other people there also looking at the computer & they left to go pickup the computer at another location because I was supposed to get the last one. WELL I DIDN'T!
Horrible customer service got put on hold 5 times in a hour to get a refund and when I got to someone they say name.. can't help you let me transfer you to just say the same thing and then add thanks for being a total member then say I can't help you let me transfer to someone who can just to ask me my number and email to then just put me hold for another 20 mintues and the roadie people they use can't find your location if they use Google I use to love best buy but I can see why people switch to Amazon now Started the phone call at 12:08 and still continuing after 1:30
edit: finally got the issue fixed and refunded by going in store, spoke to Noah. he was extremely kind and helpful, excellent customer service from him : OLD: tried to order an AC, first one got lost in the mail. they sent a replacement, it arrived completed broken and damaged. took it in to return, they said they couldn’t give me a return receipt and it would show up on my account. they conveniently never processed the return, and ripped me off for $500. wouldn’t recommend buying an appliance from them. go to home depot instead.
We have now purchased our phones from Best Buy. It takes a bit of time to transfer data so I had the opportunity to observe the sales staff for a bit to be sure. Noah, Zane, Xuan and even security guard Steven. They were so helpful, kind, professional and explain things so well. I even lost my wallet found it and all of them immediately jumped up and spread out to find it. I felt so cared about and that is so rare these days and it was so appreciated. I observed them helping other customers with the same care and kindness too. Thank you to all of you!
I love going to Best Buy they have a wonderful extended warranty that I will always add to my product purchases. There have been times that my purchased item stopped working properly, and I have been able to replace it or get my money back every time. They are not always fully stocked with merchandise, but you can always order online too.
Whatever manager is reading this, read closely! I was 100% ready to give this best buy a 1 star review. Best buy sent me on a long winded chase filled with misdirection and misinformation to get my dash cam installed. Ultimately a very frustrating experience. Ash in geek squad, however, gave me such amazing service that I am gladly leaving a 5 star review. These types of associates are the type of people you want to keep around. He is the ONLY reason I plan on continuing to shop here. I know one of you managers are reading this. Seriously, don't ignore him. Do not let this guy go unrecognized. Reward him for his excellence. I 100% plan on checking in in the future to make sure that he isn't being neglected. Spare one of your managers time because I am not afraid to share my opinions on professionalism and employee recognition in person. Spare us the awkward conversation. Thanks Ash for making my day!!!!
This best buy is really a hit and miss. There. Sometimes you can find a employee who is able to help you with your needs. Then on the other hand there is a lot of employees that have no clue what you are asking or who can help. And if your asking for something to be installed like a new stereo system you will not hear from them. Find somewhere else to get it done.
This is my second time coming to this location where their website stated they had product in stock, only to drive out there and see empty shelves. The shelves were empty at this store. I came in for a dji product and they didn't have a single item in stock. Check out my pictures and see how desolate this store is. Suggestion to best buy.... If you want to sell product, you have to have product on your shelf. This store lost out on $700 of purchases from myself due to their shelves being empty.
