Finally had the chance to eat here after passing by for quite couple years. Awesome. Asked the waitress as to what is popular. - both breakfast and lunch. She said gravy with beef chi or sausage. Had the sausage one In a crock pot like. With egg and potatoes. Am really impressed! They said it is all home made! Will be back!

Classic older diner in a fabulous historic town. Food and service staff were awesome. Took my 86 year old father this am and quite memorable. Great value especially coming from northern va. Will return.

Good food! Nice wait staff. Only reason I would not give them 5 stars, is they take cash only. They do have an ATM inside, but folks were having trouble with it while I was there.

The restaurant is warm and cozy. The food is perfect soul food. You feel right at home with the wonderful wait staff and comfort food. Comfortable seating and accommodations for kids. All food is made to order and very reasonably priced! My favorite meal is the crab cake platter. You will not get a better tasting all lump crab cake with no filler unless you can get the recipe and make it yourself!!

I went here for brunch prior to a performance at the university in town. This was such a popular place that people were crowded inside the front door giving not a whole lot of room to move around. The bathrooms were right by tables, six to ten feet away, which would be awkward for those dining at those tables. The small restaurant had a bar style seating area which is where I ate. The food was very good and inexpensive. The staff was great and there was a toy train running around on a track by the ceiling and went all around the whole restaurant in the front part. They sold handmade holiday earrings by the register. They do not take any form of payment other than cash.
