First of all, amazing chef. Thank you for greeting us at the end of our dinner. A former Le Bec Fin chef and his team delivered an amazing experience. 5 stars for the experience, 4 star for the food, and 3.5 stars for the price. I am a cook myself but I will not critique on the food as I cannot make the dishes myself without further training. But we enjoyed the fish the most! The menu changes every week but the foie gras is a staple and the souffle changes every 3 or 4 weeks. Thank you for the experience.
Came here because we heard it was one of the best BYOBs in Philly. Bibou definitely didn’t disappoint. There were several highlights. The lobster and foie gras were really good. The soufflé to end the meal was amazing as well. I’m not sure I’ve ever had a great meal and said the dessert was my favorite but this time it just may be. The chef came over and chatted with us as well which was a nice touch. All in it was about $300 for meal/tax/tip for 2 people but completely worth it. Definitely check out Bibou!
This was the most special meal I've had in a long time. My dining partner was not sure of some of the items on the menu and ended up enjoying many things for the first time, including oysters, foie gras, boar, and eel. I'm a big fan of french food but this was just different. Truly intimate, thoughtful service, personal touches, every dish was a winner and some were absolute show stoppers. . . it was genuinely stunning. The souffle at the end was THE BEST I've EVER had. The company was top notch too so I dont want to oversell, but on a scale of 1 to 10, this was a 9.8+.
Outstanding experience sitting at the Chef's counter. Service was wonderful and food was to-die-for good. Be sure to let them know upon booking if you have any dietary restrictions. Stick with their wine recommendations, they will elevate your experience. Beautifully conceived, presented, and paced. And never turn down the bread basket when it makes the rounds.
Bibou is one of my favorite restaurants of all time. I have dined at many Michelin star restaurants and other highly rated restaurants and had the pleasure of dining at the Bibou recently. I hope to come back every year. It is an amazing experience with such a personal and delightful atmosphere. The food is top notch.
This restaurant is certainly one of the best places in the area. All of the food is the highest level of excellent, and Pierre and Charlotte also helped me put together a gift basket of grocery items as a Holiday gift for my father. The smile on his face as he opened the merguez and the pate en croute is a memory I will remember forever! This restaurant is managed at a very high standard of service. You can never go wrong with Bibou! Warmly recommended.
Truly delicious and memorable. Sat at the chef’s counter, and the small view into the kitchen is a fun show. I think the ingredients are the real standouts here. We have since returned to Bibou, and each time has been a unique but equally delicious experiences. Consistently among the best food in Philadelphia.
Intimate seats about 20 French place in South Philly. Fixed price, fixed menu. VERY good service, BYOB but these guys know how to handle your wines. OK, I am not the best with French food but I know what I like and I liked the food here. Seared foie gras, tile fish, NY strip, fennel soup not in that order. All very well presented and delicious. Bottom line: We would be back if we still lived here. My brother, the wine connoisseur, HAS been back, multiple times. Oh, yeah, one more thing: they only take cash, so hit the ATM beforehand. Also right next to a municipal parking lot. For folks from LA like us, very good food and convenient self-parking-- I was in heaven.
Cosy and refined. I believe the 7 course tasting menu changes regularly so I can only speak to the one I was served. It was truly delicious and everything was cooked to perfection. Only the oyster with smoked jelly and caviar carried me off the beaten paths in terms of originality but everything else was perfectly cooked, balanced and refined, my personal favorites being the soup, grouper and sweetbreads dishes. Service was great apart from a strange insistence on bringing coffee out before desert. A lovely experience overall.
Truly delicious and memorable. Sat at the chef’s counter, and the small maybe a little too small view into the kitchen is a fun show. I think the ingredients are the real standouts here.
