I hadn't eaten in the restaurant in a while. It was quite impressive. The complimentary foccia and green Chile, cheese bread with butter and dipping oil in the beginning and truffles at the end were a nice touch! We had the surf & turf, salmon, crab cake, prime rib, mussels, and corn chowder. All were excellent! The server and manager were very nice and accomodating. The views and ambiance were great as always. The lounge has a seperate menu for less expensive dining. I will return.
Such a disappointing dining experience. Steak over cooked. Lobster over cooked. Everything else so incredibly average.
I think it is unfortunate that this restaurant has mistakenly received reviews for other restaurants on the property, specifically the buffet on the casino floor. This restaurant is at the top of the building and offers pretty amazing views of the Sandia range as well as views of Albuquerque and Rio Rancho areas. My wife and I dined here for our anniversary this evening and thoroughly enjoyed everything. We requested to move tables to get a better view of the scenery and they were happy to oblige. The food was worth every penny. The carpaccio and filet mignon are two dishes I would highly recommend. I made the reservation a few days in advance via opentable and was promptly seated when we arrived. This restaurant was suggested by a friend and I would also recommend it to anyone looking for fine dining on a special occasion.
Tamahawk is 28 ounces with 10 oz bone of deliciousness. Old fashioned with knob Creek really sings with the fresh ingredients they use.
The food was good and had a great presentation. Also, my waitress was very attentive.
The view was fantastic. The server was pleasant. But both entrees were under-cooked. And I have a rule about not sending my food back into the kitchen with a complaint. I'm a guy who can eat anything, but I couldn't force myself to eat the last few bites of my lobster. My wife's pork loin was overwhelmed with a horseradish sauce that ruined the whole plate. And the under-cooked pork was flavorless except for the horseradish. It was a very disappointing meal for the expectation and price of fine dining. To top it off, I was awakened at 1:30 am by a text informing me that they misplaced my credit card receipt and needed to know how much I tipped so they could close out for the night, because, obviously, this is the customer's problem in the middle of the night. Bien Shur was doing just fine before we had dinner there. And they will continue to do fine without our business. But we will not recommend them to our friends and co-workers.
We came here on a whim from Amarillo, TX for a date night. It did not disappoint! First, since it was a spontaneous decision we did not have reservations. The gentleman who was serving as a host asked us to come back in an hour and he would do all he could to get us in. When we returned he greeted us and had a table ready. As he was seating us, we noticed a table by the window in the city view was about to become available. He asked if we didn't mind, we could go to the bar and they would call us when it was ready. Within a few minutes we were seated and greeted by one of the most personable and very attentive waitresses we have had in a long time. Her name was Adriana. She was quick, professional, funny and made our experience there pleasant. We will definitely be back and recommend this restaurant to all of our friends and family.
Unbelievably bad service! We sat in the dining room and were told we had to have a reservation to sit there. We moved to the bar and were not waited on. I asked for someone to help us. A nice lady came over, apologized and stayed she would be happy to take care of us. We ordered a wine and sat. Pretty sure they were stomping next years grapes when she finally returned with excuses. We finally had to leave. Damn. We wanted to have a nice dinner out. What a disappointment this place is! Shame on you!
This was a very nice setting on the ninth floor of the Sandia Casino waitress was pleasant and the bread and the salad was very good in the main meal which iwa chicken and my wife had a crepe which was Good.. overall it was a nice experience for a high-end restaurant with a great view
The food and cocktails were delicious. Every single aspect of service was terrible. We showed up 20min early for our reservation and were seated 10min after our reservation time. Drinks took 20 minutes at the bar while we waited for our table. The water for our table took 15min. We needed spoons for two servings of soup before dinner, that took another 10. We waited over an hour for our food in a restaurant that was not over crowded. When the food arrived I expected piping hot and it was warm at best. My party of 7 was very dissatisfied with the lengthy wait on every aspect of service. There needs to be some sort of management/logistics change; this was unacceptable.
