Upon arriving I was greeted by the hostess with a smile. She did inform me that the kitchen would be closing in 30 minutes. So I had to order my food to go which was cool with me. Seating inside is limited but on a nice day the outdoor seating is pretty cool. I ordered the Catfish basket which comes with two hush puppies and fries. I also ordered the gumbo which is not pictured. It was okay needs more spice and more seafood. But overall my food was good . I would come here again
Great service! I called for a pickup order and everything was ready when I arrived. The portions are generous and the food was great! I had alligator bites for the first time in my life interesting, catfish so very tender and a muffaletta so juicy! Travels well for takeout. Great variety of sauces. We'll be back to eat inside.
I received an incorrect order today. My sides were left in an open bag on the counter, while they corrected the meat in my order. I called and spoke to the manager concerning the preparation of my fish. I explained that it was very mushy and not edible. The entire time I spoke she repeated, “I apologize that that happened”. Very condescending behavior!! She also stated that when fish is left too long it will sweat. The plate was handed to my son once it was prepared, so it didn’t have time to sweat. Excuses are unacceptable management responses and she needs training. I advised that I didn’t want a refund, but the restaurant had to do better. This is not Louisiana cooking! The gumbo has disgusting tasting sausage and the beans in the red beans and rice are deplorable. Needless to say, I trashed the food at a nearby Publix. Stay away from this place. It was a waste of money! Had her response been sincere, I would have only made a phone complaint.
OH MY GOSH!!! I had absolutely no idea I was going to be teleported to a restaurant on Bourbon Street in New Orleans when I sat down for lunch this afternoon. What an awesome experience. I assure you, you will NOT be disappointed!!! Everything was flavorful, great options and definitely authentic. My catfish, shrimp and gumbo were perfect. Just the right amount of seasonings to extract the flavors and migrate with your taste buds. I promise you’ll enjoy your meal!!!!
Location: This spot is located a few minutes from Chattahoochee Works which means it's near a lot of cool places and heavy traffic. Parking: Parking was free but seemed to be limited Service: The service was great, we didn't wait long for food drinks or to be waited on. It seems that everyone is on the same team there and works together to make your experience a great one. The restaurant is very casual so no need to make reservations. Ambience/Crowd: the ambience is warm and inviting and laid back. Food/drink : 7/10 for the food - I had the bourbon salmon with jambalaya which was delicious. My boyfriend had fried catfish and shrimp combo he love's catfish and said it was great we also had the alligator chili, Mac and cheese & beignets. The mac and cheese is not what I am used to but it was still good. Will I be back? YES! Mainly because of service and that jambalaya!
Hole in the wall restaurant with a solid menu, spacious patio, excellent service, and rad atmosphere. If you go, get authentic Louisiana fare, and order gator or oysters! The Cajun fries are best with ketchup imo. Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly due to bar. But maybe on porch would be alright.
Service was absolutely great. Very chill, cozy atmosphere. The menu is pretty simple & selections you would expect from a Louisiana style restaurant. The food came out quick, but was also fresh. I ordered the half Shrimp Po’ Boy with Gumbo. The gumbo is good, but the po’ boy was great. The creole mayo they have on it really makes the sandwich taste better than any other po’ boy I’ve had. I’ll definitely be returning for lunch.
Excellent My husband and I came here four years ago and were super impressed by the alligator queso & chips. This time around we ordered it and also got the gumbo, jambalaya, and fried shrimp basket with Mac & cheese. Everything tasted amazing! Happy to know the quality is just as high as ever. The coating on the shrimp was really well seasoned. I loved the homemade cocktail sauce and I hate cocktail sauces. The gumbo and jambalaya were very well flavored. Absolutely the best and I would recommend to anyone. The vibe is really chill too, definitely will come back whenever we are in Atlanta again!
I ordered a shrimp basket last week. There was a hair in the food, I sent an email with a picture and called. No response. I would have preferred speaking to someone instead of posting this but the fact that no one reached out speaks volumes about the establishment.
Big Easy Grille is hands down one of the best seafood restaurants I’ve ever been to. I had the grilled catfish with French fries and shrimp and everything was so delicious! My waitress was very friendly and attentive to my needs as well. Will definitely be back and would highly recommend if you love New Orleans-styled cooking at its finest!
