A fantastic meal! 4 of us had dinner for a friend’s birthday and it really was an excellent experience. We ordered 8 dishes, plus dessert, and it felt like the perfect amount. Highlights were the Buccatini, Cauliflower, Butternut Squash, and Polenta. Not a ton of vegan options, but a few, and many vegetarian. I wish I could’ve tried them all! There’s a great wine list, cocktail and mocktail options, and a nice array of spirits. I’d happily dine here again, though likely again for a special occasion due to price.
Unique ambiance with intimate seating. A Damn Good Espresso Martini was my favorite drink. If you like coffee, this is a great choice. Food wise, Grilled Prawns and Sicilian Eggplant Parmigiana were die for. Both foods had a delicious sauce in them to dip your Focaccia
I just love Dolly Olive's brunch menu and can't wait to go here for dinner or happy hour someday! Located at the corner of SW 12th & Alder, in the old Bistro Agnes spot in downtown Portland, Dolly Olive is a super cute and cozy spot. Perfect for downtown working brunches or after-work drinks and bites see their Appertivo menu. They really make the most of the space they have, so just be aware that tables are close together here. That said, my husband and I felt like we could have a good conversation here and enjoy our meal. The cocktails were delightful. We got the Violet's Pride and False Start. Most portions are shareable here. I was most excited about the zeppole little donuts and they did not disappoint! So light and just the right amount of sweetness with cute festive sprinkles. Because sprinkles make everything better. We also got the broccoli raab and Italian sausage with fried egg on top and the baked eggs in purgatory, which were both tasty and had a bit of a kick. We also ordered the Bambino, which is like a classic breakfast/brunch dish with fried potatoes, sunny side eggs, bacon, and grilled focaccia. Service here is attentive and friendly. There's street parking, and we usually can find a spot within a block or two fairly easily whenever we're in the area. The atmosphere is warm and lively. Definitely recommend this spot for brunch -- make reservations!
Incredible dinner! Definitely a top five dining experience in Portland. Everything was delicious from the martinis, salads and main dishes. Highly recommend the beet and grapefruit salad, octopus, and steak.Food: 5/5
Great dinner in Portland. We walked in without reservations and got the last table in the place. We tried 7-8 dishes and my fave was the meatballs and the savoy cabbage was incredible.Food: 5/5
One of the best Italian restaurants in Portland. Perfect for any occasion. Reservation is recommended. The rosemary mafaldine, octopus and grilled steak creates a tsunami of flavors in your pallette. Aperitivo is interesting and loved it. Large selection of vegetarian options. Cocktails and beer were nice. Will try their wine the next time.
Solid mocktails and cocktails for brunch and super cute. If you get here at opening there is ZERO wait for brunch which is rare in this city. I liked the food but I don’t think any of us were wowed. Portions felt a little small. The donuts were awesome though! I’ll be back for dinner for sure.
Great service, comfortable restaurant and really delicious food! The bloody Mary's had great flavor but too thick with chunks of tomato for me. Everything we ordered was really great.Food: 5/5
A nice intimate spot on the west side of downtown proper. The restaurants most popular/recommended dishes were the Focaccia of the day 4/5, Sicilian Eggplant Parmigiana 5/5 and the Tagliatelle al Burro 4/5. The pasta was very tasty, but didn’t have that overwhelming weight to it. I’m very glad I tried this one out, but I wouldn’t need to go again.
Awesome food, drinks and atmosphere! Make sure to order the hamchi crudo! Everything was delicious and we will be coming back again.Food: 5/5
