A wonderful restaurant. If you are a person that enjoys high quality food at a good price this is a perfect place. It’s not an overpriced restaurant, but the service and every single ingredient is perfect. Went with my wife for a date and we enjoyed a red wine from the house, it was strong and flavorful, and an orange juice that was so fresh and delicious. My wife tried the barley soup, it was full of good ingredients and the salt and spices were great. I ordered a pasta with scallops and shrimp, dried tomatoes and olives, it was simply spectacular, the server told me it was good but it was better than good. After that we share a waffle with strawberries and blueberries, the fruit was fresh and the honey in the waffles was from a quality that is amazing. We will be back for sure. I totally recommend this place.
Wonderful cozy meal recently at Amis. A bit drafty by front, but great to sit by window and watch street action! Our server was fantastic, a French gentleman who was very attentive! The mussels were superb, meaty and broth delicious. The champagne offered both by bottle & glass delicious and reasonably priced. Thank you for a memorable evening!
Wonderful brunch experience. Food was delicious and the waiting staff was super nice. Right near Dominique Ansel Bakery. We got the calamari, the fried gnocchi in pesto, and the eggs Benedict. You also get complimentary bread and butter.
What an evening this was! The restaurant has delicately decorated each table with real candles and a small bouquet of flowers. Their bread was warm and generously, but my only qualm is that it was quite poorly cut. As I was only mildly hungry I opted for their French onion soup and my gosh, this was the best FOS I have ever eaten! So cheesy and warm! For dessert I had gotten some sort of blueberry pastry and the French vanilla ice cream sent me to heaven. The staff were just so friendly it really felt as if almost I was back home. I was truly impressed and shall return ASAP!
Pros: Very good customer service and no wait time for dinner. Cons: Average food quality for a French restaurant. Maybe I should've ordered smth else. Might give it another try next time.
We ordered a Cobb salad and a Caesar salad, both with added chicken. Service was prompt and friendly and vegetable quality was high - avocados, tomatoes, lettuce were all delicious. Unfortunately the chicken was dry, unflavord, and overall just not worth the price. Neither of us could finish our food. The place has promise, but if I go back I won't be getting the same item.
Thoroughly enjoyed my dinner at this restaurant this evening. French onion soup is claimed to be the best, and I now understand why. The linguine and clams were served in a creamy tomato sauce which was amazing and the chocolate lava cake just oozed out with dedicate chocolate. Will definitely be back in the near future!
12/18/2021 + 12/19/2021 10 STARS. Both our Brunch and Dinner experiences were simply lovely. Amancio took great care of us on both occasions. From the Chicken Paillard to the French Onion Soup, the Pommes Frites and Tuna Tartare, everything was tasty, creative, fresh and well balanced. Our bar tender and the maitre d' were both extremely hospitable and caring. We simply LOVED dining and spending time @ Bistro Les Amis. We will return on out next trip back to NYC, guaranteed. The SoHo District is a great area to walk and explore as well, take advantage of everything NYC has to offer!
Staff is so friendly and know the menu very well, feels decadent but at home and cozy. Lovely French music playing… jazz… it’s lovely! Would recommend to everyone
Brought a few friends. Place has been around, such good food, great service. Awesome cocktails...
