Terrible Experience!! - When we politely complained they asked if my husband is military and for his commanding officer's contact!!! My wedding was scheduled for the week that a hurricane hit so I had to move the date. All of the vendors were very understanding and accommodating except for this one. They said that they had already ordered the flowers a week ahead of time and therefor informed me they would be charging me full price, and when I rescheduled I would pay just the cost of the flowers a whopping $144 for 1 dozen roses and some smaller blue flowers- raw flowers do not cost that much! . They are, after all a flower shop- hard to believe they couldn't have just been nice and just put the flowers in the shop to sell instead of charging me. its not like the caterer charged me for the cost of all the food! I would have even been happy to split the cost of the flowers and call it a day. However I understood, and I was satisfied enough to pay the TOTAL cost of the flowers again later $144 and just take them home with me to enjoy. The total cost of my order was ~$275. Since I had already paid in full the $275, I asked when I could pick up the raw flowers from the shop, since I was having to pay for them anyway. They informed me that they were closing the shop that day, and probably would not be opening for another several days so I could not pick up the flowers - Even though they were making me pay for them. So basically they were telling me that they could not perform per contract because they were closing the shop for the rest of the week! At that point I asked for either a full refund since they could not perform per contract, or that I pick up the finished bouquet on Saturday per plan. So suddenly they decided that they were able to have the flowers ready for me on Saturday. When I went on Saturday they were hurrying to throw my bouquet together at the last minute. I asked for a manager and politely explained that I was not happy with my experience in that I was forced to pay the full cost of the flowers and yet had been told I could not pick them up. The managers, two men, got very defensive. He started talking about how his shop had flooded and there was nothing he could do about it. While that is very unfortunate that his shop flooded, that is not the customers fault if you cannot perform. They continued to interrupt me every time I talked, started waving his finger at me, and raising his voice. I asked him to stop pointing his finger at me. They told us that they had cameras all over. My husband was standing by quietly, and simply chimed in that we did not want to be confrontational, just wanted them to understand our grievance. The two men suddenly turned on him and asked "are you in the military?" I said "why does that matter?". We decided to leave as we didn’t feel like they were listening to us at all. We felt they were being very unprofessional and beginning to be threatening in nature. We mentioned we would be writing an honest review of our experience with the company. He told us we couldn’t do that and he has lawyers. As we were leaving he shouted after us "what is your commanding officer's name and number?" I felt like he was trying to use the fact that my husband is military against us. Interpret this how you will but we had a very terrible experience with this company!!

Where do I Start ! This Florist Shop is Much more than a flower shop this is A Blessing to their Community! I was Extremely honored to be able to have them Assist me with my my last minute needs for Mother’s Day ! My moms Birthday! I Live in NC while my family lives in VA Beach and I tell you I didn’t know what I was going to do for my Gifts for my Family! I called the Black Iris Shop and spoke to Todd who is the owner amazing I was really speaking to a actual person that cared about my life and my need to get a special gift for my Mom ! I tell you please call them for your events of life they will make It the best ever ! Thanks Todd for your help! You are a life Saver and a wonderful Blessings!

I just got married in May of 2018 and had a wonderful experience with Todd and Jason. Everything that was promised was exact and beautiful. All my guest raved on the flowers, and the table settings. I was so lucky to have them do our wedding. They are good honest men. Their work and promises are like gold. We will be using them for all our now our personal florist and I wish them love, happiness and success.... Thank you again Todd and Jason. Hope to see you soon.
