Definitely the best place to get any quality art supply! Also a great store for artist of all skill levels. There's a good selection of economy packs and starter kits for all kinds of mediums, but also quality niche you would have to otherwise order. Everything was very organized and clean, and the staff knew where to point for everything I was looking for...Having so much in one spot gets an imagination turning!
Good variety of art supplies, both for professional artists and for hobbiests. Flexible hours. So whenever I am at Short North, I can come by.
Small but extremely well stocked art supply store in the Short North. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and the prices neither better nor worse than other like establishments. Parking can be a serious problem, but walking through the area is safe and entertaining in and of itself, so even if you have to park several blocks away it's not really much of a hardship. They offer discounts for art professionals teachers, gallery employees, etc and hang art if featured artists on the walls. Very clean, very comfortable place.
I went to the store further out of town first and was awed by the selection of art supplies so when I saw this one and went in I maybe had too high of expectations, it is a tiny store probably stocked more with stuff that the college students get the most. The staff was just as helpful as the other store and pretty well versed in the merchandise. They have good sales and clearance items that are always interesting. The only drawback is that the store seems to be too crowded with the merchandise. I would have given 5 stars if not for claustrophobic feeling of the displays.
I thought that they had a pretty wide selection for being such a small shop. They did ask if they could keep my bag at the front while I shopped, which I didn't like, but I can completely understand their reasons. The store is small and I'm sure that they're just trying to prevent shoplifting in general. And since I didn't do anything childish like sharpen all the pencils or scribble on the furniture, I had a really great experience with the staff as well. Cool store!
Pricey, but that's due to quality of supplies available. No crayola here, haha! This location is closing this week though. The staff is friendly and helpful. Students get a 10% discount. Overall a nice place to hang out and stare longingly at displays of art supplies for an hour or two before finally buying a single pen or marker to add to your collection.
There aren't a lot of choices when it comes to local art supply stores. This is the closest to us and fortunately has a perfectly good selection of the main items I'm typically going to be looking for. Prices are usually good, though if you're looking for something less common or looking for a bigger ticket item you'll probably find much better selection and prices online.
Excellent service. Knowledgeable staff. Amazing selection. Art supplies for the series artist to children's arts and crafts. All in a small space and convient for residents of DT and Short North, as well for visitors to our fine city. Was able to find a quality, affordable color pencil set that would travel well in my granddaughter's suitcase.
Terrible experience. Ridiculously overpriced and poor customer service. They overcharged me $6 on a spatula if I hadn't noticed and told the cashier they would have just ripped me off and had a huge sign buy one get one free under a sketch book yet at the cashier told me 'oh it doesn't apply to those'. I went to recheck the sign - no specification about which sketchbook this offer pertains to. But definitely not the one under which the sign was placed. Awful and I won't be coming back.
Reasonably priced, staff was knowledgeable and helpful. They didn't have everything I needed in store, but it was easy enough to order online. In the future if I need something I'll probably go to the website unless I need it asap. Shipping online wasn't too expensive, and it was less than what we paid for garage parking to go to the store.
