Blue Dot Landscaping

I have posted the following review on different sites. I have now realized this company may be listed with different addresses so that it keeps coming up like a different company, and my review was not showing up on all of them. I believe it is the same owner listed on them all. Rich and Mike. My experience with this company was very negative. We had agreed on certain things that were to be done. The company made changes without my authorization that were not close to the quality we had discussed. The main issue was the steps that were built. They were supposed to be a set of steps with one step per rise. They ended up doing the steps two deep. I would have been fine with that had they been supported like the steps we originally discussed. Instead the steps were cemented horizontally, unevenly placed height wise so that some of the individual risers are not even level, they are not supported completely underneath so the cemented line is cracked and some of the steps wiggle, and some steps are placed at a slant as much as 3" off. I contacted the BBB with no successful result. We could not agree on what needed to be done, and the company refused to do arbitration with the BBB and myself.

We hired Blue Dot Landscaping to do a large landscaping project at our new home the beginning of 2016. This was and still is our dream home however in our opinion Blue Dot Landscaping produced less than favorable work on our property and our dream home has been blemished due to quality of work. After consulting with a professional licensed horticulturist it was verified what we had suspected, that the plantings used and we were charged for, were not suited for our location, i.e. shrubs needing shade were placed in large bed that was full sun, trees planted around a handicapped accessible garden that would grow to over 10' and block sun from the garden, trees planted with root balls exposed and a large temporary nursery area of holes two feet in diameter left by Blue Dot that are so large we are unable to mow the grass there. We were left with irrigation dip lines that we have been advised were wasting water, a flag pole that bent as it wasn't sturdy enough to handle the wind on the hill we live on and a back yard that looked, in our opinion much less professional than what we had paid for. In addition to the landscaping Mr. Regan had advised us that he could do the overseeing of the construction of our therapy pool. Mr. Regan never discussed the accessibility options with us as we are handicapped. Our hardscaping, in our opinion, was performed in a very ameature way, resulting in a patio that was placed up above the slab and resulted in rain water entering our home. He constructed a fire pit but failed to use firebricks. With the prices Blue Dot Landscaping charged us we expected very professional quality of work however we received far less. We have requested repairs on items and replacement of a dead tree that should have been under warranty and Mr. Reagan replied "I'm broke and I'm out of money" and requested that we supply him with more money.

Several neighbors of mine use Blue Dot Landscaping and their yards look great. We are in the beginning stages of wanting to give our yard a facelift. We called Blue Dot and got an immediate response. They spread mulch in our yard in less than 1 day and it looks wonderful. The crew was nice and easy to work with. I would recommend Blue Dot Landscaping to anyone.

The guys do my maintenance at my house. They are timely and detail oriented as well as friendly! They take care of all my needs such as pulling weeds, spraying Roundup, picking up sticks, and of course keeping my grass and bed edges nicely manicured! I can always count on these guys to do a great job!

The crew at Blue Dot had great attention to detail and workmanship when it came to putting my irrigation system in at my house. The crew was nice and worked hard and were a joy to have around. I will defiantly have them back to do more work
