After visiting the place I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. The Rehab staff is nice however the facility along with the rehab department is old and outdated. The rehab unit is to small. There are more rude staff than happy, polite and helpful ones. Avoid This Place!!!!!!!!
If I can give this nursing home a 0... I will...Donot send your love ones there. The staffing is horrible...they never pick up the phone or return your calls..The place smells..The rooms are dingy, outdated with cords dangeling The longterm care clients are placed in the bottom part of the building where its gloomy and looks like a dungeon..They pile your love ones up in a room with 2 other clients and will have them facing the wall because there is no room for a tv for them to watch if they are bedbound. This place is HORRIBLE...
This place is disgusting my stepdad is in this place and calls for help and nobody answers him or his roommate..They are not getting the attention they need he also says that his emergency button does not work..I didn't know anything about this place until he was placed here last Thursday. but reading these reviews I'm sick to my stomach the STATE BOARD NEEDS TO GET INVOLVED PEOPLE SHOULD NOT BE TREATED INHUMANE LIKE THIS
In my professional experience with Blue Point, this facility provides excellent care and has great therapy outcomes.
I walked into this facility last week and was simply amazed with the changes. Great attitude from staff and Residents. Facility was clean, odorless. I couldn't believe myself. The Administrator and his team were also very welcoming and well put together. Great teamwork .
My mom was here in 2009, and this nursing home was the worst I had ever seen. It Smelled terrible. Staff could care less about your family. Other people or patients stole her things. Other patients were mean to her and she was afraid of being there. The staff would not allow her to take showers, where it took days before she could shower. Reading current reviews sounds like this place has not changed at all. Why is this place still open? I know Nursing homes make a lot of Money. This place has always been a dump and still is. Where do the funds go to? As they are not dispersed to the patients, building or the care of the patients who need it. I wanted to do less then 1 star!
I couldn't stay a full week there.Within hours I was meditating on surviving the place. I'm still suffering from a bedsore I immediately received upon arrival in 2013! When I first got there, they put me in an air mattress that they must've forgotten to turn on,and ignored my concern. After two days my whole hip turned black, but do you think that was enough to motivate them in assisting me? Instead they stole my things. I quickly realized the only help I'd receive is transport to the grave when they continued to ignore my calls for help. I know for a fact by the convenient thefts that they were outside of my room entertaining themselves with my agony, because when my emergency contact called me to inquire of my care there. When I began to explain the things going on I was in my bed with my back turned to the door. They ran to alert the wound nurse FINALLY,and she entered my room unannounced and proceeded to perform minor surgery cutting me with her scalpel without notice. I can't walk, but was so surprised by the mysterious searing hot pain that I almost jumped out of the bed.My contact asked several q's that must've pissed her off like "she's really cutting you without notification?" "who informed her then if no-one answered you?" When she heard enough, she took her scalpel and stabbed me in my biggest wound! I got out of there the next day and showed my doctor who was surprised to see this gash when he just saw my wounds days earlier. Then he cleaned it with saline and measured confirming it was the scalpel, and seeing that along with a brand new bedsore, had me transferred to another facility. And there's more, but I'm not out to destroy just to warn customers that they don't look at you and see a human being. They just see a $$$
If I could give a zero I would. My brother was at this facility this past year and now he is dead at 58 years young. A staff member dropped him while transferring him and he landed on his face and had a big gash above his eye. They didn't have a doctor check him out or send him to hospital possibly for stitches. They neglected him and now he's gone.
For one this place play a lot of unnecessary games. It’s no way I should have to call this place every day to figure out how my dad is doing. I should not have to make an appointment to see my dad. Then they call and say it’s one room for visitors. I’m definitely reporting this place.
I need to bring this place to the attention of Maryland State! When your taking peoples money to care for them, YOU CARE FOR THEM!!!!! The place stinks and the staff is horrible bums who cant get a job elsewhere. They probably aren't certified. I need the Board to check into this place. Ms. Angel who is the receptionist is delightful. She smiles and is helpful. She don't belong there... The other secretaries don't even look at you when you come in, they don't speak and you better not ask for anything... They make apparent that they are being bothered! Music blasting and on their phones. Awful!!! Just awful!
