I stopped by this place to grab some quick breakfast, little later in the day. I grabbed a coffee, a cup of mocha to be precise. I ordered a chicken biscuit with cheddar and garlic biscuit and a croissant and a breakfast muffin. I took out the food and came home to resume my work from home. The coffee was very basic, nothing fancy. The chicken biscuit was decent. The specialised biscuit with cheddar and garlic didn’t leave any fancy trace on my taste buds. I could not find any extra flavour or aroma. It was rather dry and came out pieces when I was trying to eat the sandwich. The morning breakfast was a typical one, although I never expected coconut in it. They never mentioned and I don’t like coconut in my cakes/ muffins. I asked for the chocolate croissant, and after coming home I realised that it was the croissant with feta! It was a sheer mistake from their side. I understand, it happens! I don’t eat feta, so eventually I had to throw it. Overall, the place looks nice and clean. The staff was nice.
Brunch with friends. Good spot. The breakfast sandwich on biscuit is a feast. Turkey sausage double patty, plenty of cheese & the biscuit is dense but not doughy. The raspberry poptart us delish. If you like pie crust you will enjoy. Plenty of filling. My wife got the Nutella one, but I like mine better. Friendly staff. Courteous. Be patient, they take a bit to get you your order. Busy, but good. Three tables on outside patio.
Had heard great things about Bluff City Coffee, but sadly was disappointed. Maybe their main location is better, but this location didn't seem clean and coffee was subpar. Service also struggled. Staff was polite, but not friendly and didn't interact more than necessary... felt like a case of bare minimum service. A guy even came in while we were waiting and they just sent him away because he had accidentally ordered to the wrong location. Great opportunity to go the extra mile but instead acting more like it wasn't their problem.
We have come here before but this visit was not great at all. We ordered a chocolate chip muffin, Nutella pop tart and a slice of pumpkin bread. All were crumbly and dry. We threw most of them out. We ordered two coffees, nothing to rave about. Sad to say we won’t be back.
This little coffee shop on Cooper use to be THE spot. The past two visits have been extremely disappointing. One disappointed visit they were randomly closed, with no sign or explanation even when tried calling. The second visit today I got off work excited to get a biscuit on the way home and when I arrived at 12:25 they said their kitchen was closed for the day when they close at 1pm…..I called the other location in Downtown and they went out of their way to take my order over the phone and absolutely made my day. Overall disappointed with the employees at the Cooper location and the vibes lately. i normally dont go out of my way to write a review, but with this last visit and encounter I felt a strong urge.
An excellent little place for breakfast and coffee. Their breakfast sandwiches are excellent. I had a sausage egg and cheese on a biscuit, and it was lovely. Their coffee is great too, and there are several tables with seating inside and out.
Came here to grab some coffee and a cookie with my wife before heading to the zoo with our sons. She got an iced vanilla latte, I got an Americano, and we got a Strawberry Gooey Cookie. We hardly got to Cooper/Union before she finished her latte and said “That was incredible.” My Americano was great and the cookie was out of this world!
We were visiting Memphis from Dallas and looked up some coffee places nearby and this shop came up. Lovely people and wonderful customer service. My only regret was not getting some of those cookies..Food: 5/5
Just moved to Memphis and in search of the best cold brew in Midtown. There’s no shortage of options here. Bluff City Coffee’s cold brew is just right- rich in flavor, low acidity, with a strong, smooth coffee taste. Will be back for more. The tex mex bagel sandwich was just alright, I did not enjoy the bagel texture too much, it was much closer to plain bread texture but take this with a grain of salt because my expectations for bagels are too high outside of NYC. Taste was fine.
I got an iced white mocha & a raspberry pop tart. The coffee is not my favorite. Maybe it’s just the kind of coffee that I don’t like. Not saying the coffee isn’t well made. The raspberry pop tart warmed was extremely good!
